Jefferson's Ice Cream Brixton — Restaurant in London

I want to give 5 stars but after having a few delivery takeaway experiences I have to knock off at least one star.

Like for instance ordered hot chocolate and it comes only three thirds of a cup full! When you have the nerve to charge £4.50 then at least be generous and fill the cup up properly to where it should be and not undercut the customer (myself). Also from this order I was missing whipped cream and on the receipt it was ticked off as if it was in the bag or done correctly. When you doing a delivery takeaway or even in shop in person, you need to take time to make the item how it should be and has been order and not rush to just to get the item into your customers hands and take the money. But having said that in terms of the quality besides those few errors which are on a human level but the product quality is superb!

Quality of product 5 stars ⭐️ hands down. Quality of service, for speed 5 stars ⭐️ but due diligence and care I would only give 3 stars ⭐️.

I don’t want to give a four star review but in my last few orders I remember from here, it’s been just tiny errors where an item has been missing or something silly like this and it’s annoying because ultimately I don’t want to have to make a complaint or come across as a moaner but at the same time I am not giving money to charity, I’m not making donation, I am making a payment to Receive a product of sorts and I expect that to come A) with all its contents, B) to be in a good condition and C) to be able to enjoy it (reasonable portion size) Thing is C) is more optional of course but A) and B) are key to winning me over...

I've been coming here on and off for more than a year. I'm the kind of obsessive that has a Google Map of great ice cream joints I've visited all over the world. Jefferson's is very good, they can hold their own against the best. Extra marks for their seasonal flavours, which are often wild and creative.

But what makes them quietly memorable, and which will be echoed in the reviews here, are the staff. They are genuine, warm, kind, sweet and invested in your experience. Like an surprise topping or unexpected flavour, they make your visit just a little bit better. Last week when I was enjoying an ice cream there I observed them talking to each other, and they were just so nice.

I'm a cranky middle-aged man AND an ice cream snob, so praise is not given...

Was looking for ice cream last night and very fortunately stumbled across this place. The service was excellent, the man working had really good energy and you could see by the attention to detail whilst preparing things that he cared about the food he was putting out and your enjoyment of it.
