Incapable of honouring very simple requests.
I'm really not sure what's been going on lately but this KFC needs a serious change of management or staff. Being someone who's worked in fast food before I've given KFC Penge the benefit of doubt because I know how hard it gets. But this experience left a bit of a sour-taste.
First thing's first, the food was warm, my wings tasted lovely and the chips were nice too. But that's the only reason why this isn't a one star rating.
I wanted to pay cash. Me and one other lady stood by the front of the till after the cashier finished serving another customer. We were there for a good ten minutes. All the staff there could clearly see us waiting but not one person seemed to even acknowledge our presence. Meanwhile scores of people who had used the kiosk were in and out of the store. I noticed two customers who had made specifications about their order that were not met, but I thought 'whatever, at least they have their food'.
It took another previously served customer complaining about a missing food item for the staff to finally take notice of us, including one female member of staff who spoke quite rudely to the deliveroo drivers waiting for their orders.
So I finally order my food, a 6 wings meal with the fries and a tango, along with an extra order of fries. I asked if it was okay to have my tango served in a can as I could see them being given to the deliveroo drivers. I myself had arrived on a motorcycle so I didn't want the drink to spill all over my bag. The cashier could obviously see the helmet I was wearing, said it was okay so I paid for my order.
When my order arrived I noticed they gave me a cup of tango instead of the can I asked for. I asked again if I could be given a can instead, explaining my situation, but the cashier's excuse was "Err..sorry man I've already made it."
At this point the customer who was behind me, who had clearly heard me ask for a can instead of a cup, began asking why they couldn't just give me a can. By this point the rude member of staff from earlier intervened and asked what the problem was. Again, politely I asked if I could have a can instead. She replied rather dismissively "We only give canned drinks to delivery drivers."
By this point I had enough and just took my food and left. While that's happening the customer from earlier is protesting on my behalf saying "He's been standing there waiting to be served for ten minutes. His drink's gonna spill over, give him a can!"
Now I'm really not the type of person to fuss or complain but if someone had at least explained to me beforehand that canned drinks were reserved for deliveroo drivers (despite the massive stack of 7Ups I could see in the corner), I would've been completely fine with a bottled drink of water instead. I wouldn't have bothered with the tango or any soft drink. In the end I had to just gulp down half of my drink so it didn't spill (it was already coming out from the top).
To make matters worse, when I got home I noticed my extra order of fries were missing. So not do KFC Penge employ rude and deceitful staff, they also like to rob people of their money on a regular basis.
The number of people who came back with missing or wrong items in the space of ten minutes while I was waiting, plus a previous order I made on UberEats where the Oreo Krushem I wanted turned up missing, there is obviously something seriously wrong with the way this place is managed. Read moreTheir customer service is so awful. Went on the 1st May around 4pm and the customer service is just rubbish. No attention to details, no accountability and just plain rude. Nothing will probably change as they all don't seem to care. They also speak a complete different language with each other when a complaint has been brought forward.
When trying to order we were told the till machine card payment was not working and had to use the self serve machine. I informed the guy that the self serve machine does not have krushem listed on the menu but I want to include that in my order. He states to pick a drink and then once I get to the till inform them what krushem I want. Me and my partner do this and when we get to the till the lady on the till serves us. The guy who asked us to pick the drink and swap for a krushem was cooking the chips. We inform the lady what we were informed by the guy and the fact I want a krushem. She says the krushem is more expensive than a drink. I said that I will pay the difference. The lady calls the manager and they were not speaking in English. Then the lady turned to me to say the Krushem machine is not working.
I felt as though if it was not working I would have been told much more sooner. The lady would not need the manager to inform me that the krushem machine is not working as she would/should have known.
There is a lack of transparency. As I felt they said something in their language just so I would not understand. Then I was responded to in English. If you have nothing to hide then speak English. There is nothing wrong with speaking a different language when communicating with colleagues. But I completly disagree with communicating with each other when a customer has brought something to your attention. It's rude and frankly very shady. As I do not understand what you are saying with each other regarding the matter.
We get our order and 2 mins later I see the manager using the krushem machine to serve another customer a krushem.

Read moreIf i could give 0 stars i would however that's not an option but still I think it should be known to everybody ordering from here that you should reconsider before doing so I ordered food from Just Eat, waited two hours for my food for it to be falsely marked as delivered, which left me extremely frustrated and disappointed, I then had to leave work where I was extremely busy to try and find out what happened to my food. Where I was greeted with an unhelpful extremely unsympathetic employer which I later found out was the manager, who told me that she could not do anything to help which clearly shows to me that there is no value whatsoever to customers with my problem I then asked her what can I do then to solve my problem to which she responded find it online, so now I'm thinking you guys work with the company JUST EAT but you cannot provide a number or a way to contact them to your customers which to me seems extremely irresponsible and shows that you guys lack knowledge of the people you work with if you guys really valued customers you would try to make things right or at least help in some kind of way really upset because I loved KFC and had previously ordered countless times however after this issue and the lack of customer service I will no longer order from here and I will tell everyone that I know to also not because to be met with such disgusting behaviour has left...
