If this is supposed to be an authentic Italian pizza/pasta restaurant, it needs to radically up its game. Ordered a Farmaggi listed on menu with various cheeses, including mozzarella and with fresh basil leaves. 40 minutes later meal still not appeared. Manager apologised and said chef made made the wrong thing! Eventually after another 30 minutes the pizza appeared (so over an hour's wait for a simple pizza.). The pizza looked dull and colourless apart from a few specks of dried basil instead of fresh basil leaves as on the menu..and minus the mozzarella. Manager, when spoken to then brought me a few fresh basil leaves on a separate plate. Really?! Had to ask for parmesan shavings for friend's pasta dish. Had to ask for chilli oil for pizza. We were kindly given a free meal by porrtofino as the owner of the resteraunt supported a charity quiz event at a church for Age concern for the elderly in the community! St.stephens church organised the event and portofino sponsored it by giving away a free meal,a starter and a bottle of wine to share between two in a raffle last weekend at the church. If more businesses like this gave to the community and to charity and care about people the world would be a better place!
