Koi Ramen Bar, Brixton

I am a fan of Koi Ramen Bar, as i was impressed by the quality of the food and the friendly service. The ramen is made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the broth is flavorful and well-seasoned. I've tried a few dishes on the menu, and I wasn't disappointed.

My favorite dish is the Shoyu Ramen, which is made with a rich and creamy soy sauce broth, tender chicken or pork, and a soft-boiled egg. The Tonkotsu Ramen is also very good, and it's made with a rich and flavorful pork bone broth. If you're looking for something a little different, the Vegan Ramen is also a great option. It's made with a vegetable broth and it's packed with flavor.

In addition to the ramen, Koi Ramen Bar also serves a variety of other dishes, such as gyoza, karaage, and tempura. I've also tried the gyoza, and they're some of the best I've ever had. They're perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

The service at Koi Ramen Bar was friendly and attentive. The staff is always happy to answer questions about the menu, and they're always willing to make recommendations.

Overall, I highly recommend Koi Ramen Bar. It's a great place to go for a delicious and...

Very poor experience at Koi Ramen’s Brixton branch when attempting to order. The waitress serving this afternoon was extremely rude and dismissive. After rolling her eyes TWICE, I asked for pork ramen, to which her reply was “so the Tonkotsu pork ramen?”. I asked her “oh is their 2 types of pork ramen then?”; to which she replied “UGH it’s on the menu”. Why she did not just clarify since she was standing right in front of me, is beyond me. If she was having a bad day, fair enough. Take some time out and come refreshed for work the next day. Customer service roles are not for everyone. I ended up leaving the restaurant without ordering due to being completely put off by her. (East Asian lady approximately 5ft 2-4 inches tall with dark brown hair tied back under a cap.) PLEASE CAN A MANAGER REMIND HER THAT THE EASIEST WAY FOR RESTAURANTS TO LOOSE CUSTOMERS IS BY OFFERING POOR CUSTOMER...

Back again for their super simple Ramen offering. Very quiet evening in Brixton owing to many people being away for the festive break.

With just a small number of covers, located under the arches in Brixton, Koi has a mini industrial or kinda Blade Runner vibe inside, what with the corrugated metal wall / ceiling panels and the self-ordering touch screen.

The ramen options are tweaked every now and then, we had two of the original white ramen tonight, one with an egg (always a fab extra), the other with some additional tofu and…an egg (mad not to). A Kirin beer, some warm Sake and a (utterly unnecessary but sooo tasty) plum wine completed the picture.

Food arrived quickly, was tasty and decently proportioned with a solid base of noodles, meat and accompanying veg, swimming in a hot, rich broth.

Service is always efficient, polite and friendly. Can’t...

There are so many Koi Ramen branches but I went to this particular one because it is located under the rail arches and feels like Japan. At first I was hesitant to try Koi because I am particular with ramen and the type of ramen they use but this is the thin type like hakata. Tried the Soupless ramen which was different and nice. Also known as abura soba/maze soba but this one was to my liking as the traditional ones use lard which is too heavy but here they use sesame oil which is much lighter and the noodles are thinner unlike the authentic ones which are thick. The miso was a surprise because I thought it was going to be mellow like stated but the miso was strong like marmite to the nose the tofu puffs absorbed the flavours nicely. This place can get quite steamy.

This place was okay. But sadly a few issues which lowers its rating. 1. Portion size quite small, I think only one slice of pork chashu is quite stingy and not enough. 2. Forgot to add the chili oil, pickles and sesame seed I asked for, even when I was only customer in shop 3. Tonkotsu broth too salty. Good flavour but far too salty. Presentation for takeaway is also quite poor. Was made fast which also makes me realise not that fresh and it’s just combined when your order, which is fine for most of if but then at least make sure it’s good quality. It’s really not a bad ramen or flavour, but these above points let the overall experience down. If you fancy ramen for the £9 lunch deal, it’s not the worst in the world. I’m not sure I’ll return however
