I have been to their New Brixton Site on two occasions now & both times I have been left disappointed with my experience.
The problem on both occasions was Customer Service, it was Bad/Non- Existent! The problems are u go in & u are met with around 10 - 12 Deliveroo Drivers with their helmets still on up against/ covering the counter, sitting on the chairs where the customers should be able to sit & eat there food/wait for their order. Hence as a customer i felt pretty irrelevant & the staff were just interested in dealing with all the Deliveroo Drivers.
The Deliveroo Drivers shouldn't just be allowed to takeover the place & ultimately the CUSTOMERS like myself left feeling that all Other Side Fried care about is there delivery orders! What about the Customers that want to experience a nice environment to eat, good Customer Service & Good Food? I unfortunately didn't experience any of that!
So when i finally got the attention of the member of staff & made my order it again was quite a unfriendly/disinterested experience on behalf of the member of staff. So i then waited about 10 Minutes to receive my food. There seems to be no interest in Customer Service at Other side Fried's new Brixton Location. It felt like i was at a garage pit stop with all the Delivery Drivers crammed into the place. Not a nice place/experience to eat in at all.
I keep expecting my burger to look like it does on their Instagram posts, it doesn't! On both occasions the burger has left me somewhat disappointed.
Price is expensive, taste is average, but ultimately the Customer Service/Experience is terrible! All the staff working there when i went there on the second occasion looked unhappy & had no interest in providing any kind of Customer Service! One of the guys working in the kitchen looked super angry & didn't look like he would smile even if u gave him a Million Pounds!
If you are going to charge up to £10 for a Chicken Burger you have got to deliver on the Customer Service/Experience for people who want to eat in at your new Brixton Location. Or just be a straight up take away that just cares about how many Deliveroo Drivers u can cram...
Read moreThis has been my favourite brand of chicken shop for a long time but I'm afraid there are problems now. I used the app to order last time and was told that the app doesn't actually send a request to make the food, so I had to wait for the food to be made once I got there. Once again today, ordered on deliveroo for collection (table service) and the order was not made when we got there. The service is rude and needs a lot of improvement. I called to ask how to order for collection as it wasn't immediately clear and the answer on the phone was 'hello?'. No mention of the shop or 'how may I help?' Nothing. Finally, the burgers here are getting smaller and smaller. I used to buy from the stall around the corner or in covent garden and the portion sizes were generous and worth the money but now they are no bigger than a 99p McDonald's hamburger (example given for size not quality, definitely still much better quality than McDonald's!). The food is very tasty, don't get me wrong, but it's becoming too inconvenient, unpleasant and expensive to continue eating here. Sorry othersidefried. You were honestly killing it before but your standards have...
Read moreI had such a lovely experience at Other Side Fried. The buffalo fired chicken burger is hands down the best hot fried chicken you’ll find in Brixton, and possibly all of London. I also want to call out the incredible service I received. Zina, Max and Jeff were super lovely and engaging while I waited for my takeaway away order. Having previously worked in the service industry, I understand the pressure of making orders on time for a mix of clientele. The team’s ability to do this while also being friendly and engaging in the right level of small talk is truly a skill that is innate and not taught. I hope in leaving this review that Zina, Max and Jeff are recognized for their brilliant customer service. I’ll definitely be back!
PS. I had a very interesting conversation with Zina about behavioural psychology. I hope her employer sees her full potential and how advantageous her skills will be in a...
