Have had this bakery on my list to try for a long time so I was super happy I have finally tried it. I was in the area for an online order collecting so it was the perfect timing to get all the pastries I wanted. In total, I ordered 6 pastries to go. My overall comment is that everything was too oily. An hour after I got the pastries I could see that all the paper bags carrying the pastries were already drenched in oil. Presumably they used too much butter as part of their recipes. However, it's probably because of the amount of butter used that their pastries were super flaky, especially after being re-heated in my air fryer which pushed the pastries to a whole new level. Highly recommend this way if you can wait till you get home to eat the goodies! My reviews for all 6 pastries are as follows: 1. Plain croissant - big in size and flaky. However, not the best I have had, as middle section was too dough-ey so not light enough and ofc as I mentioned, too oily - 7/10 2. Chocolate and hazelnut twice bake - basically a pain au chocolat with hazelnut paste in the middle. Gotta say I wasn't the biggest fan of this pastry even though I am usually super on board with anything nutty and chocolate-y. The hazelnut paste was too dense and I got so full halfway through so couldn't keep going. Recommend eating it in 2 sittings if you have a small stomach capacity like me. Taste wise it's great though - 6.5/10 3. Miso swirl - top 2 of the 6 pastries, liked the spring onion taste coming through and the sesame seeds on top really upped the entire taste profile. However, there's no miso in it at all which is extremely disappointing. If you are calling it miso to make it exotic, at least put in a good amount of miso to actually make it taste like the name suggests. Otherwise please name it sprint onion swirl instead - 8/10 4. Earl grey swirl - size wise a bit too big for my liking. And if you are gonna make it that big you should put in a lot more earl grey paste, not just in the middle bit. Nice to look at visually with the edible flowers, but it's bit bland as the name suggests a strong black tea smell and taste - 7/10 5. Mushroom and pesto danish - my personal favourite of the 6 pastries. Wow loved the combo of mushroom and pesto and didn't know it could go so well with croissant-style pastry. Super savoury and a perfect lunch option - 8.5/10 6. Toffee apple croissant cup - loved this one also. Not too much toffee and custard filling. The size was perfect for an afternoon tea snack and the apple balanced out the sweetness of custard and toffee sauce - 7.5/10 7. Morning bun - basically a cinnamon roll dusted in sugar. I loved it, top 3 and the best out of the sweet ones I got. Good amount of cinnamon paste, went well with the flaky croissant - 8/10 Service was great. Asked the guy at the cashier whether I got everything I should try and was told my order list was spot-on (haha). He recommended me the mushroom and pesto danish and that turned out to be the best pastry out of the entire order so well done to him! Vibe seemed relaxing, not the biggest cafe but got a good amount of 2-people tables and chairs including a table outdoor. Would definitely come back to try other things but yeah emphasising the oiliness of the pastries. Not something I can have regularly for the sake of my heart cholesterol level!

This is a popular French bakery that opened recently in Kentish Town. I was quite surprised that it opened in the heart of KT, thus i had to stop by when I had the chance to. As you walk in, you’re immediately welcomed by a wide selection of pastries and sandwiches as well as their big open bakery at the back. The first time I visited, I got the mango sandwich. To my own dismay and faults, I dropped that sandwich and was quite gutted. I tried to get one the next day, but it seems like they change up their sandwich menu each day, thus got the jerk chicken one instead. Bread was lovely and soft with a lot of layers to it, filling was quite generous and flavourful which had quite a fair bit of spice! Despite this, I enjoyed it. I also got the strawberry corn cake. Wasn’t a massive fan of this but not necessarily a reason I’d debunk this to a 4 star. My latte was nice and tasted slightly different from others I’ve tried. They have a good amount of seating. It does get busy during lunchtime but I noticed that there was still seats around if you wanted to have some chill time or meet up with a friend. Would come here again.

I've tried many croissants in London (including the excellent classic croissant from Aux Pains de papy) this was the favourite so far! Espresso is well extracted and a classic flavour but the bakery is easily the highlight (variety of creative dishes, classics and savoury croissants/pastries etc.). Best 'nutty buttery & yeasty' Croissant I've had so far in London. Enough butter to be properly tasted (a rarity now-a-days) enough salt (from the butter?) to balance... With a yeasty but nutty dough (unsure if brown flour is added to dough or browned butter or simply due to the crust). Either way a delicious pit stop in a welcoming atmosphere. 1 star off (14/15) due to the no laptops policy. However the staff were lovely about this / it's understandable on weekends if they get busy.... Only request is they consider allowing laptops when most tables are empty... More an item for management than the staff, staff were lovely :-)

Kossoffs, is a small bakery in the heart of Kentish Town, London. If you love good and fresh bread, this is the place for you. The Kossoffs team reflects their own claim to an excellently and complete, uncompromising love of the bakery craftsmanship. You can tell that Kossoffs spends a lot of time in the fermentation process of the bread dough for the loaves. Thanks to the time (days) of fermentation, an outstanding and persistent moisture is created in the bread, so it stays fresh and crispy for several days for a great eat at home experience. In addition to the standard products (website), the Kossoffs range is always supplemented with new food innovations, especially before the weekend (Friday/Saturday), so that you are always spoiled, when you have to make your choice when you stand in the shop. Of course, you are able to consume the products in a nice, pleasant ambience and be supported by a very friendly and competent staff with coffee, tea, etc.. Given by the quality of the product lineup, the prices are more than moderate for London. Kossoffs is one of the top 3 bakeries in London. The only deficits that I see is the lack of a home delivery service for the Camden, Hampstead, Highgate region and the rather weak presentation information on the company website on their real product structure of their services and products. A catering service would also be an exciting customer service, given by the quality and standard they stand for. To any tourist staying in Regent Park, Camden and Highgate. Kossoffs (Open: 8am-3pm) is more than worth a short walk for...

GOOD STAFF ARE KEY to any successful business and Kossoffs has the best! Some time ago I became ill and went into Kossoffs for help. They couldn't have been nicer and more caring. I hadn't been there before I didn't make a purchase. I offered to but the gentle man (and I intend the space between those two words) wouldn't hear of it. He was only concerned with my health.

Subsequently, I have come back to both thank and sample.

Coronation chicken sandwich..... wow! So fresh. No cubed reconstituted chook here. Fresh meat, half almonds, plump sultanas, fabulous sauce with (I think) fresh basil or parsley. All carefully enveloped in delicious sour dough bread....fluffy centre and crunchy edge. Add to that a really tasty blend of coffee in latte form.....yum.

I must also compliment management on their choice of staff. There is a girl with short dark hair who (as far as I can tell) mainly serves at the main counter. If I was in a retail business I would definitely have poached her. Her presentation, cheerfulness, honest welcomes is a true joy. Whether trained like that or it just comes naturally - she is a real find.

I gather that there are all sorts of freshly prepared, different yummies that come out from the kitchen throughout the morning. So, anytime to visit will be rewarding.

People who read my reviews know that I don't give false praise. Try Kossoffs and you will...
