Went to this cafe with a friend this evening after a lovely day together. After finishing our drinks, thanking the staff and exiting, it was a huge shame to have a staff member literally cough at me (not an exaggeration, unfortunately) and loudly yell âCOVID!â followed by laughter between himself and another staff member stood beside him, as I walked by them wearing my mask. For some personal context, I have a health condition and take heavy immunosuppressive medication, leaving me very vulnerable to infection.. Mostly it was the immaturity and disrespect of the experience that stood out to me and my friend, especially after having just paid for a service.
Living with this condition, which at one point had me unable to walk, has given me a true appreciation for how fragile, beautiful and short life is. To me, kindness is the greatest legacy. And though I wonât be going back to the cafe, I really do hope that the staff might rethink how they treat and interact with people, especially the vulnerable, both at work and...
Read moreWe popped into this place as we were seeking cake and the window display looked incredibly enticing. Beyond the colorful range of delicious-looking cakes in the window we were met with an abundance of cookies and other bakes inside. We chose a slice of chocolate cake and a slice of strawberry cake to share. Both were mouthwatering. Soft, flavoursome, and with creamy fillings and a rich glaze. I had a freshly squeezed orange juice (there were a number of juices available) whilst my friend had a coffee.
The décor in the back part of the shop is somewhat tired but inoffensive. There was sufficient room to allow us to talk comfortably. The staff were warm and friendly and the service was efficient. All in all a comfortable place to enjoy very tasty cake on a...

Waouh!!! If you taste anything there, you are likely to become a regular customer! Anyways the staff is welcoming as obviously they are algerians;) Will definitely recommend this coffee shop compare to any other one in East London!!! Best one...
