Title: A Taste of Argentina at La Plata Steakhouse: Exceptional Meat and Impeccable Service
As a food enthusiast, it's not every day that you come across a dining experience that leaves you utterly mesmerized. La Plata Steakhouse, an Argentinean restaurant nestled in the heart of the city, is one such gem that I had the pleasure of discovering recently. It exceeded my expectations in every way, from the mouth-watering meat to the warm and attentive service.
Upon entering La Plata Steakhouse, I was immediately struck by the inviting atmosphere that exuded a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern elegance. The interior featured wooden accents, warm lighting, and tasteful Argentinian decor, creating a cozy ambiance that felt like a home away from home.
The culinary adventure began with a delightful appetizer of empanadas – a classic Argentinian staple. The pastry was flaky and golden, enclosing a scrumptious filling that whetted my appetite for the main course.
La Plata Steakhouse takes pride in its meat, and for good reason. I ordered the bife de chorizo, a sirloin steak that was nothing short of divine. The quality of the meat was outstanding, cooked to a perfect medium-rare, which allowed the rich, buttery flavor of the beef to shine through. The accompanying chimichurri sauce added an extra kick of flavor, with its tangy and herbaceous notes perfectly complementing the succulent steak.
As if the food wasn't impressive enough, the staff at La Plata Steakhouse took our dining experience to a whole new level. Their genuine warmth, attentiveness, and knowledge of the menu made us feel welcome and appreciated. They were more than happy to accommodate our requests and offered recommendations that catered to our personal preferences, showcasing their dedication to excellent customer service.
To round off the meal, we indulged in a heavenly dessert of dulce de leche flan. The rich caramel flavor and velvety texture of the flan melted in my mouth, providing a sweet and satisfying end to an unforgettable dining experience.
In conclusion, La Plata Steakhouse is a must-visit for anyone looking to savor authentic Argentinean cuisine in an inviting and friendly environment. The exceptional quality of the meat and the impeccable service make this restaurant a standout in the culinary scene. I can't wait to return and explore more of their...
Read moreAs far as steak restaurant's go, this little gem is probably one of the best Great decor Lovely ambience The service is excellent The staff are so polite and attentive. Now for the food.......the steaks are some of the best I've tasted. I went with my sister, and we had calamari and chorizo as a starter, it was amazing! I had ribeye, one of the best steaks! I loved it, cooked to perfection....medium rare, as it should be, obviously the chef takes great pride in his food and is proud to serve excellent food or it doesn't leave the pass. That's experience and it shows in the food. Tasty.......succulent heaven !!!! In my experience at dining out......and I dine out alot, the staff in most restaurant's even though polite etc don't compare somehow to these guys......they really care about their customers. They come round making sure you are happy with your food and they couldn't do enough for you to make your experience a very good one. That's how it should be......a great dining experience.
We enjoyed it immensely. We will definitely return. I will bring my other friends here, they need to experience their food and service.......and so do...
Read moreIssue with this place is the sauces and sides. In my opinion, what makes a restaurant great is the “extras”. Spicing up the side of fries / chips with some seasoning and providing condiments as well as making good sauces is so key and La Plata misses the mark on this. I ordered mash potato as a side and was bland as could be and saw another couple order fries and chunky chips and looked similar. Could easily charge more money if they made things gourmet. Black Salt is proven example in Sheen.
This place has a monopoly in Sheen and for some reason it’s a bit rubbish. Affluent people live in Sheen, raise the price a bit and make the food better - notably the side dishes and sauces and it will be a success.
Ordered larger rump steak and asked for medium rare and came to me rare / blue. Did not send back as rump is bad cut of meat and hard to cook and I didn’t mind but feel like could have done better.
When you google chimichurri or have chimichurri, it’s a vibrant, fresh herby green sauce. Chimichurri here is red and black, feels like it’s made with herbs you buy in a small jar from the supermarket and wasn’t very good. This...
