Absolutely fantastic! Service was top class with an old school diner vibe, gentleman at the door who greeted us in was friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Order at the till situation which again, I love and is old school. The chef behind the counter was there to answer and questions and again was accommodating. The coffee took a bit long but the chef behind the counter noted this and gave us a dessert on the house and apologised. Also was a fantastic brew. The food is so YUM. The ingredients are top quality. I got a Sausage, bacon and egg sandwich which was super flavourful. The sauces that accompanied the meal tasted so well balanced. The chipotle one in particular was so great that I put lots of it inside the sandwich which worked so well too! The beef dripping chips were so rich and flavourful! would absolutely recommend all the dishes that I had. Prices are fair too! Appreciate that the head chef was being addressed as chef. Shows that the respect is due and given and you can tell why.

I dined in this beautifully ambient café for a breakfast after a long cycle ride. The waitresses were super warm, kind and humble. I had ordered their 'Bacon egg and cheese croissant' with sausage add ons, 'Bacon egg and blackpud butty' & Granola. I had my eggs scrambled for both of the butty sandwiches. However, I presume, they unintentionally missed adding black pudding to the sandwich and I had to ask for it. They later served it seperately on a plate. Beside this flaw, the food I had at this place was absolutely stupendous. The quality of the meat and bread were outstanding. The price is definitely on the higher side but considering the area they are located at, it is justifiable. Having said that, if they tend to increase their prices, I'm afraid they'll lose their customers, apart from their patrons. The one star deducted is for the pricing and black pudding they missed out in the sandwich (which they served when upon questioned). Thank you for having me over.

Le Swine - Britain's Best Bacon Butty, Make at Home Kit. A locally based company, so wanted to support. Had high hopes as lots of glowing reviews, but not a patch on the Dishooms Breakfast Nan Roll and indeed many regular breakfast cafes the length and breadth of the UK. The Roll was extremely disappointing, small compared to the size/amount of the bacon and we did not pick up taste of onion. Would have prefered bacon to be cut thicker and maybe a different cut, too big to put in pan so we cut it up, also lots of water during first stage of cooking, the final taste was nice, but I have had better bacon from the butcher. Sauces and bacon butter lacked flavour and nothing to write home about. Unnecessary booklet that is just wasteful - just needs a single sheet of paper and a YouTube video.

Im going to start this review by apologising in advance for potentially sounding arrogant. I’ve given this a VERY generous 3 stars, acknowledging the fact that these are ‘home made ingredients’. However, I think this box must be for people who only eat average ingredients and therefore find the ingredients in this box to be amazing. My normal go to bacon is HG Walters smoked streaky bacon, and I have yet to come across something better. This box has just reinforced how good that bacon is. The ingredients felt extremely average I’m afraid - when I read the best bacon butty, I couldn’t help but to get excited given the many positive reviews. This is most certainly far from the best bacon butty I’ve had, and I can make far better ones at home with other, cheaper ingredients overall. First and foremost, I received no sage in my box. Thankfully with Christmas having been just a few days ago, I had some spare sage that came to the rescue. Secondly, it only arrived with chipotle sauce, which is ok but not what was advertised. I did also order an additional large bottle of mushroom ketchup which I got to try - it is screaming for more seasoning and it’s really rather disappointing. The chipotle one is certainly much better. The buns, whilst they may be made using some sort of special recipe, felt extremely average. The bacon wasn’t amazing, it was just average - a word I would use to describe the whole experience. If you don’t use a fried egg, then just one rasher in the sandwich is certainly insufficient. Unfortunately, not something I would ever buy again or recommend to anyone. Really struggling to understand the rave...

I recently received a Le Swine bacon butty pack as a birthday gift. On opening the presentation quality was very high and the instructions were clear to follow. (the box seems a bit over the top though, single use and all that.) It was a lovely bacon butty ..... plenty of delicious, high quality bacon. The bacon butter was soooo tasty spread onto the grilled roll, but I didn't feel the need to use the mushroom or chipotle ketchup's as although I love hot sauces, for me, the classic & traditional flavour of a bacon and egg butty is not to be tinkered about with tooooooo much. The quality of the bacon, the bread rolls and the bacon butter totally shone though ( I did add a little Heinz on it tho ....couldn't resist.) I also really really liked the addition of the sage herb leaf. That sage added a deep and meaningful background of yummy-ness. I also saved two rashers to cook and have with scrambled egg a day later which was totally divine as well. SEE VIDEO LINK https://youtu.be/2Jz3j9IAsRQ?si=2SL0rXBXykIQcomK Overall the quality is extremely high and the end result was probably the best bacon butty I've ever had and I'm 62 and have had them all around the world including a breakfast at the Bellagio las Vegas....so one can't complain !!. ... price-wise its a lot but for a special treat its well worth it.

For me I would say there’s no desperate need for the Chipotle or mushroom ketchups but maybe I’ll think again if I get another one for my next birthday…. I’ll try them both and let you know.

Well done Le...

Disappointing first visit which seemed to be down to staff shortage.

We could see our food sitting under the hot lights for quite a while, we asked if it was ours but despite the guy behind the counter who took our order confirming, it still sat waiting for the one waiter to be brought to the table. As a result, the sausage was dried out, scrambled eggs rubbery and overall lukewarm rather than piping hot. Expected better for the price, which was in our opinion toppy but somewhat expected in Sheen where overpricing seems to be the done thing.

The ordering system (you order at the counter rather than table service) seems to let them down as they don't know which order number relates to which table, so a lot of "did you order?" questions from the lovely gentleman who was the waiter.

Staff were very friendly and the manager apologised and offered us a free dessert.

Tends to get busy at the front with customers waiting for tables or those who are waiting from take out so try to avoid the first table unless you want people breathing...
