LEON More London Place — Restaurant in London

This morning was a bit of a rush out of the front door so I had no time for breakfast at home. Fortunately I had a little bit of time before my train was due so I made a visit to Leon. There were a few people just in front of me in the queue but the 2 staff on the till got through these in what felt like less than a minute (always a good thing when you have a train to catch).

At the tills I was warmly welcomed by the Wonderful Winston. He is very observant and noticed my NHS badge so we had a small conversation, he was complimentary towards the work that I do and really made me feel good about myself. Somehow he manages to give this great service yet still work quickly and efficiently. Not an easy thing to balance. I myself have worked in a retail environment and I know it can be a demanding and challenging environment for the staff. I was out of the branch with some food and an iced coffee in hand in less than 5 minutes. Bravo! I now write this feedback whilst enjoying the good food on my train.

I want to say a thank you to Leon for the discounts you have offered to the emergency services, and those much welcomed freebies during the pandemic. Also a thank you to  those in the retail sector keeping the rest of us workers fueled and ready for the day ahead. It's truly appreciated! Also I feel inspired to say a BIGGER thank you to Winston who put a smile on my face and truly made my day, he's kind, compassionate and a gentleman with what I see as a bright future ahead of him. It's amazing how someone can alter your day in such a positive way with just a few minutes. This is why self automated checkouts will never be on par...

We stopped at Leon in London Bridge station to grab something to eat, as we had just missed a train so had a 15 min wait until the next one. After waiting to be served for what felt like an eternity, my partner managed to place his order, whilst I was asked to “move out of the way” so that Nadine (the lady serving) could serve someone else instead of me, I was planning on paying separately, and therefore was expecting to be allowed to order my own food separately!! After some confusion about who wanted which sauce (only mine came with sauce, which was offered to my partner instead of me) we then stood and waited for 10 mins for our food, whilst somebody that had ordered the same thing as us but much later had already been given their food and left. We missed our train because of the awful service in this place, despite having a full 15 mins to kill before we walked through the door, and although we were given a voucher to compensate us for missing the train and having to wait another half hour until the next one was due, I doubt that we’ll be returning to redeem...

If you're looking for hot food which is fast you're at the right place! As you in we were directed to order from the online stands which is simple and easy to use. I ordered the vegan Mexican burger with baked fries and a bottle of water. My sister ordered the love burger which is a vegan cheeseburger with baked fries and a ketchup with a Raspberry acai drink. As soon as we went to sit at the back ( sitting is small inside but there is outside seating too) it was fairly busy. They called out order name and its in a takeaway bag with al your order. Both our burgers were yummy. I preferred the love burger more as my burger was slightly cold... the baked fries hit the spot and its definitely a quick filling lunch. Leon has variety of food like salad boxes, wraps and rice dishes too. I liked the service. They were friendly and helpful when ordering as the machine can be a little confusing at first but easy.
