Wanted an omelette as menu on window showed it but did not show any time restrictions you could order it once inside was told they didn't do omelette in the afternoon? Asked for jacket potato with beans then instead..jacket potato was on the menu but they did not do it beans..really with a jacket potato? Asked then for poached eggs on bun with ham with no seasonings or any topping..just plain and also ordered a beef pattie as they explained it on the menu..in other words a burger..the eggs came up with a sauce all over them which I sent back expressing we had said we wanted it plain..the burger then arrived and I cut it in half in the bun..just as well I did it was not cooked inside so I sent it back they then cooked me another burger that was over cooked and was like a piece of shoe leather..( I have to ask how hard is it to cook a burger!..I have a cafe myself in Kent and must cook 150 burgers a week..90% steak burgers) I have to say I was on the verge of walking out the food was awful 💩💩 by the time mine was re served which half of it i left..my partner had already finished his food..the male waiter that originally took our order appeared very glum and looked like he didn't really want yo be there..and lacked a personalty..so burger and frozen potato wedges..2 eggs on a bun with ham..1 glass of wine and a apple juice came to £48!! I think it's probably the worse meal I have had in years! I'd of had a better experience at McDonald's and wish I had of gone...
Read moreThe food here is very basic. I ordered the lamb chops, when my meal came I couldn't believe it. It was the least appetising thing I had seen in my life and I can't believe a chef could make something like that and serve it I that manner. I wish i took a picture. Two giant lamb chops, way too much fat that had not been trimmed and giant veggie burger on a plate with red wine jus. Not a single vegetable or herb to decorate the plate, just plodded on to a large plate. I literally couldn't believe it. It looked so disgusting I already wanted to send it back without tasting. I had asked for my lamb chops to be medium well, they were way past well done and chewy, that veggie burger was also nasty. Why would you serve lamb chops with a veggie burger, it's not making any sense to me. The only goof thing about that night was the waitress, she was lovely. I didn't even have to ask to send the food back, she saw and knew my disappointment straight away. She was really lovely, I wish I got her name, it was her first week too and she did really well. As an alternative I got a beef burger, I've had better, it was nothing special. If it's not obvious, I'd never go there again, I wouldn't even send my enemies there. The food, I'd give 0 stars if I could, service and ambience is a 5. They need a new chef and to revise the menu, I'm...
Read moreWent here to meet two friends who were already having tea. When I arrived with an additional two people we all sat down together. One of my friends who had already been served called the waitress over and she asked if he wanted anything else. He said no, but that myself and the other two people who I arrived with might. I asked her if she had any herbal teas and she replied. "Yeah they're in the menu" in a very rude manner. I then asked her if she didn't know which ones they sold and she replied "Yes, I know but they're in the menu" and walked away. Once again her reply was very rude and abrupt. No excuse for this as there were hardly any customers in the cafe so she was hardly rushed off her feet. Maybe she is the reason why they were so empty. I have had far better service in literally every other cafe I have been in, in the London bridge area and beyond. Needless to say, I decided not to order anything and all 5 of us left shortly after the waitress refused to answer my basic question. Based on service alone I'd have to say this place was very poor. Would I recommend? No Where would I recommend? Anywhere else really. Some nice places in the area with nice people who are willing to engage...
