Food missing ingredients and Absolutely disgusting behaviour of the staff!
I ordered samosa chaat, someone I have grown up eating. Living in Alperton and working in Southall and having many Asian friends I know good Asian good.
I walked in and asked how many samosa pieces come in the dish I was told two so I said amazing can I order- the lady’s response was yes take away I said no I would like to sit if that’s ok. When I sat I ordered the samosa chaat I specifically said I don’t want no coriander and I want extra spicy, The lady repeated spicy? And I stated extra extra hot.
The dish came out with missing ingredients When I asked the lady where the rest of it was she said This is how it’s supposed to be. I stated no I’ve been eaten Samosa chart my whole life this is not how it comes. She didn’t stated that every Restaurant does it different so I thought not to bicker and just try out anyway as the restaurant looked really good.
As I tried this food, it was very bland no spice at all and highly disappointed when I stated to the manager that I do not want it he said what’s wrong so I relayed the fact that it wasn’t spicy. It was very bland. His response was.
English people don’t like spice I asked him to repeat what he just said and he said English people don’t like spice and then advise The Man that I wasn’t English and I find that comment very rude and racist. He then said well okay? Well what I mean is white people don’t like spice I said what has my skin colour, got to do with my tolerance to spice
Specifically came into the restaurant and asked for it extra spicy I said what you are saying is very racist and you are predicting my food tolerance because of the skin colour.
He decided to walk away in the middle of me talking to him as the people next to me were watching our conversation.
This is disgusting behaviour and To tell somebody that they don’t know your food because of their skin colour is Absolutely absurd.
I would not recommend this place. The customer service is terrible and the food is bland. White people might as well...
Read moreWent here with the wife last week see what all the fuss was about only to be disappointed by the food we ordered lamb chops gol guppy kerela and egg aaloo curry and two nans and bottle sparkling water and strawberry dream drink . The restaurant is very very snazzy tables beautiful and very very attractive to the eye the staff are very friendly and very helpful alert unlike many other restaurants where you have to try hard to get staff attention not in here they were brilliant . All round this restaurant has a lot of potential but as waitress said they have over 200 items on the menu that is there downfall it cannot be a top quality with so many items on the menu the customers were very varied you could definitely bring a date here or family and yes you would wow them but as I said the food was very bland and watery no real flavour the only thing we really enjoyed was the strata berry drink water is water so can’t comment on that they did serve complimentary popadoms with nice sauces so we’re looking forward to the food sadly to say the food just didn’t seem right definetly not the desi Pakistani good we are used to … big let down apart from the food everything else was brilliant . Toilets are snazzy and well maintained . Please sort out your food get real authentic chef in to really up the quality it’s brilliant location with lots of potential but food was sadly to say very...
Read moreEasily got a table for two here on a Saturday at around 12pm. The restaurant has some pretty unique and interesting decor. The tables and floor have cool patterns that have light emitting from inside them.
Service is friendly and attentive. They started us off with the classic poppadoms and chutneys. Nice to have them to add some flavours throughout the meal and cut through some of the richness of the dishes.
We ordered the Halwa, Puri Nashta from the breakfast menu. The Puri were great! They weren't greasy and had a nice crispy exterior. The Halwa was also fantastic and not too sweet. The channa masala was quite mild in comparison to the rest of the meal. Needed more salt and spice for my tastes.
We also got the medium spiced lamb biryani. You could feel the heat and spice in the meal but it was quite subtle for me. Think I should have gone up a level. The meat was nice and tender. The rice was done well. I think again I would have preferred there to be more of the spices coming through, more fried onions and I definitely should have asked for some salt to add.
Overall I liked it a lot. Would love to come back to try some more dishes and the mixed grill. Good value for the...
