(Long comment!) I commented before but don’t know why the comment deleted with no reason. Even now I still upset about it so want to re-comment. I was an international student from Asia. Firstly the foods were okay. However, customer service was ridiculously bad. The first time: Me and my friend went for lunch in there and we ordered normally. When the staff asked us “do you need any drinks?” And I tried to joke “is water free?” From that time, the attitude of all the staffs changed 180’. They stared us for the whole time. (Don’t ask how do I know, as a normal person I can feel it and we were the only customers in the restaurant.) It felt uncomfortable and disrespectful. Before we finished the meal, a staff came up and asked us “can you pay for the bill first so to keep eating?” (While the restaurant was not busy at all.) I was like “wtf??” They thought we can’t afford the meal so ask us to pay first. I never met this kind of situation before. My parent open restaurant too, and you only ask customers to pay when they finished their meal or restaurant are nearly close. Right?? Second time: I walked pass and just wanted to maybe eat noodle real quick. And when I just walked in, a staff asked me “how long do you need to eat? We have reservations at 7pm.” I was like “wtf bro, it’s 5pm only, do I look like a big eater gonna eat all the foods in your restaurant and spend 2 hour eating noodle alone?????” I told him really politely “no, I just wanna eat a noodle real quick.” And the staff reluctantly let me in. I guess because they don’t want to waste a table for serving just one customer so they earn lesser. Third and Last time: I came with my British friend, this time, same staff but 180 changed attitude. Tbh, I really didn’t want to come here, but in that time, this was the only Chinese restaurant that I knew and close to my house. And I wanted to introduce some Chinese foods to my new British friend so I bring him to here. This time, the customer service was good, just like other restaurants. Its my first time saw this staff smile to me, and all because I brought a British friend to here? After that I never...
Read moreBooked a table for 4 people via phone and they didn't even ask for our name for the booking and hung up. When arrived we got the Hotpot (online it says it was £19.80 per person for dinner but turns out it was actually £21 something per person) and was a little confused as to why the lady serving us asked what we didn't want in our hotpot and it turns out that we got EVERY INGREDIENT that was on the menu and we were not allowed to order more or what we actually want unless we finished it all.
Our sliced beef and sliced lamb was served frozen like it was straight from the freezer as it was still pretty hard and had frosting over it. There was no any type of sauce selection at all and the only thing they bring out for dipping sauces is peanut sauce and you have to ask for chilli oil separately.
Overall, I recommend not coming here for the hotpot as their quality is very poor and you're limited to the selection that they offer unless you force yourself to eat what you don't want since they bring it all out for...
Read moreVisited today for Fathers Day, once we were seated the waiter only gave us 2 menus for a party of 7 people, which was quite odd. After asking if we could order we had to wait over 10 minutes for someone to come over and take our order, bare in mind the restaurant was empty. The food was 2/10 at best, but customer service was non existent, as soon as we walked in it felt like we were not wanted.
After finishing the meal we realised that the diet Coke we had ordered was expired so we informed was the waiter, which he replied “okay” without an apology or even a replacement drink and just said he would take the balance of the coke off the bill. We spent over £110 today and was not worth a single bit of it merely due to the lack of service and manners of the waiter, not to mention that they give expired Coke to their customers, wonder how fresh their food is if their drinks are...
