We dined here on their opening night last night. The restaurant has taken over the location of a previous restaurant called Guglee that has moved on. First of all all the staff are really delightful and the decor is modern with hints of Dishoom. Most important thing first: their peshwari naan is off the charts. I've never eaten such tasty naan. These guys don't skimp on the pistachios. Really go there for that alone. You'll see what I mean. For appetisers we had idli, samosas, keema pao all were very tasty and reflected modern twist on great classic dishes - not in a bad way. So if if you're looking for traditional Indian food you won't be disappointed. MY GF is Indian and has a pretty good ability to distinguish authentic Indian cuisine from dumbed down interpretations. The lamb shank was succulent and massive and the chicken biryani was also really flavoursome. The desert was a creamy carrot halwa - that can be a little too sweet - but here is was absolutely spot on with a seriously creamy ice cream. Cocktails were good also: I had the hot rum thing and my GF had refreshing Juhu beach. Three appetisers, two big mains, one desert and two cocktails and the total 84 GBP including service . Highly recommended!

Had a delicious meal here tonight, starting from small plates (street food style) to dessert. Staff were spot-on with honest and tailored recommendations, and the atmosphere was mellow and relaxing. The chai tea gave a warming start, and there is an appropriate wine list chosen to match the dishes. The traditional tandoor grilled salmon and lamb chops melt in your mouth, and the dal with spinach had just the right amount of spice for flavour and heat, we also loved the peshawari naan and monk fish curry. The cocktails were unique, made with care, and flavoured to accompany our food- a wonderful experience all round. We will come back for sure to try the rest! Thank you for looking after us.

The boy in the hotel was really polite and welcoming. We went here for a late lunch so it was basically empty. We ordered Chilli Paneer and Butter Chicken with some Garlic Naan and Tandoori Roti. The Chilli Paneer was a little sweeter than it typically should be (even if it's made in the Indian Chinese style). It still tasted decent. The Butter Chicken was good. The first Tandoori roti that was served to us didn't look good and without having to ask them, the chef himself got me another Tandoori Chapati and apologized for the looks of the last one :D The entire experience was good.

Both of the stars are for the excellent customer service that they provide! Very friendly, extremely helpful and willing to hear particular wishes. Huge thank you for that!

Unfortunately the food was a big disappointment. The "fresh seasonal vegetables " (that's how it is expressed in the menu) in their mix veg dishes are actually very Much only frozen peas with few pieces of ready chopped frozen carrots and sweet corn. That's a huge mistake for any restaurant to make. In that respect, the vegan dishes are very overpriced since they are made of the most cheapest ingredients. The other disappointing feature was that I asked to make my dishes very very spicy but they were rather medium if not mild. The flavors were over taken by generous use of cream (coconut cream in vegan dishes), so they probably please most of the British residents but are not even near of what Indian food should taste like.

In sum, excellent, wonderful service and very pleasant restaurant settings but the food is very overpriced, not having fresh ingredients but frozen ones, and lacks the...

guys you gotta up your game on the £32 meal for two. so far this is the worst or second-worst indian food i've had in london. the tikka chicken was really sweet, seemed like the chef went to town on the sugar (is tikka ever even supposed to be sweet?). there was also this weird brown sauce that seemed quite artificial (pre-made?) and smelled odd. and there was no mango chutney sauce to go with the popadoms, a crime! T_T also, the "spicy" chicken dish wasn't even spicy! besides the core curry / meat portion, the meal was just a load of carbs (rice, naan, popadoms). usually for that price i'd expect an extra side or something. just scrap the rice or popadoms, scrap the sauces, add a good side that doesn't cost you too much to make, and this becomes a 4/5 meal perhaps without hurting the...
