Sushi and More — Restaurant in London

Sushi & More on Finchley Road is an authentic home cooking Korean and Japanese restaurant run by a lovely couple.

From the street it does not look particularily authentic but once inside you can either pick sushi and Korean side dishes from the large refrigirator unit or order a freshly cooked dish. Price wise and compared to other places serving sushi including Yo Sushi (in the 02 Centre) and Waitrose, it is good value with a six piece salmon and avocado at £4.45. Unlike other options, Sushi & More also offers Korean dishes.

The interior offers seating for about 10 to 12 people. More importantly the food on offer is tasty, fresh - especially the kimichi which is one of the best i have eaten in London. Small, diner place. Great for a quick bite. Limited seats. The lady that served me was very pleasant and friendly. Clean. Portion is big. Very reasonably priced. Think Korean, Japanese and more. Good menu. I had the Sundubu Jjigae which comes with rice and mini kimchi. The dish is very spicy which I knew as I have been to South Korea and ate it there a lot. The lady was also kind to warn me of the spice level when I ordered. I was fine with it. Only order if you can take spice! Delicious. Full of flavour and I enjoyed it. ...

This is best home-cooked Korean/Japanese place for eat-in and take-away. The Korean lady owner makes such an effort with the food - chicken breasts are marinated in wine, onion and spring onion for tenderness day before they are fried for the Katsu. The chilli oil is home-made with leeks before added to the spicy beef short-rib soup (called yookgyejang) and tastes even better than in Korea. Sushi is fresh and cheap. What makes this place is definitely the smiley and welcoming owner who clearly takes pride in her food! Just wish it was open...
