Liz Café — Restaurant in London

Lovely looking café when you get in. Had the chicken sandwich but unfortunately they gave me the one on display which was very dry and the bread was stale.. Also had a full English breakfast. It's disappointing that bacon and mushrooms were precooked, eggs over cooked and bread was also stale. In both meals we would have gladly waited a few minutes to enjoy a freshly made brunch, it really is hard to understand why these simple breakfast can't be cooked on order when there's noone else in the cafe. Also most tables were dirty and some had leftovers from previous customers which weren't clean during the entire duration of our breakfast. It feels as if the owner has left the place up to its employees will and there's no quality standard left. Toilet was also not very well looked after. A shame because this had many good reviews. They have also put the prices which makes it a bit too pricey for not...

Was there today and was unimpressed. I ordered a grilled veg, mozzarella and pesto sandwich, and when it came it was full of rocket. Many places in London sneak rocket (which I hate) into everything without listing it as an ingredient, so, ok, I picked it off. Then I took a bite and realised it was goats cheese, which I hate more than rocket. I shouldn't have been surprised because the man at the till had asked me what I wanted then continued to take have a conversation with someone else while I ordered. Anyway I took it back, got no apology, and it came back without goat's cheese and with one tiny slice of mozzarella, two slices of pepper and one slice of aubergine. No pesto. And the rocket put back on! Then they forgot my friend's sandwich altogether, and didn't apologise for that either. If you're charging £4.50 for a mediocre sandwich, your service should at least be good....

Did NOT get what I have ordered, I ordered a breakfast with Salmon, been told they sold out all the salmon after given my coffee. Ok, understandable. I have to change something else. The unacceptable thing is just 2 mins after I have my replacement breakfast on the table. Someone ordered after me have his salmon??? When the girl passed me with salmon I was shocked. I called her and to confirm what I have seen, and been told yes it is salmon. She told me that she just went to the shop to buy. Ok!!! Firstly, I did NOT realized she was out, might I did NOT attention that. But if she could get it that quick, I don’t mind to wait 2 more mins. she did NOT offer me before or after she buy.
