Went on one of their opening nights. We had a table booked in for free cocktail and pizza on one of their opening nights. We arrive and one of the waiters shows us to our “table” which turns out to be a pillar with two stalls next to it. We day were also here for food so we’re moved to a bigger table. The cocktail I had (The one night only) was so low on alcohol it may as well have been a glass of squash. We were told that pizza would be with us in a few minutes. After around 45 minutes we decided to leave after noticing the “free pizza” was actually just a single slice so we left without waiting as we were both left hungry. The atmosphere inside is okay, seems very unfinished in terms of decor, but being the opening weekend I can forgive it. The lighting is very low and the music is very loud making it hard to have conversations with those sat with you. Nothing on the website about what the atmosphere is like for those who may find such a place overstimulating. Overall a pretty standard bar, nothing new that doesn’t already exist...
Read moreWe booked Lockes for our welcome evening the day before our wedding, to host friends and family that had come from out of town and from out of the country. Thomas and Marco provided an absolutely flawless evening.
The setting was beautiful, the food was delicious (heard good reviews from the guests all night and well into the following days), the service was responsive and impeccable, the drinks perfect, and we all felt so welcome and so happy at the venue. We practically had to force some our friends to leave at closing time, despite the fact that this was just a warm up for the main event!
There was an option to put our own music, but in all the excitement I forgot to take advantage of that. Despite that, the music was perfect, and we had to correct so many guests who thought we had designed the playlists ourselves.
We had ordered one of their packages and the value for money was absolutely fantastic. If you're looking for a venue to host a party with pizza, chill vibes, and flowing drinks, look no...
Read moreA fabulous new addition to the Battersea Rise, Northcote Road neighbourhood and I’m glad to have this “home from home” close by ( having previously enjoyed the other great Lockes in Covent Garden, the original Lockes I think?). Really enjoyed the smiling, friendly staff who really know their way around customer service and how to make excellent drinks and cocktails (loved the Skinny Witch BtW!). Now I’m no longer a young pup, I do need food these days to accompany drinks so I was very pleased to see the pizza and charcuterie and cheese offering running alongside the cocktail centric focus of the bar. Good portion sizes, and sensible prices. No complaints there. The pizzas can more than match the best around and my only “ask” following my evening at Lockes….is….please can I have the recipe for the chilli honey that graced the pizza I had? It made it!...
