Very Disappointing!, Was looking for a new restaurant to try with the family in London and found Lokkanta online and was impressed with the great reviews, so we choose to eat in on Saturday 26th June and arrived at the restaurant at 19.30 to find it empty inside so choosing a table was not an issue. So we sat down to order for 4 of us my young daughters, wife and myself, at first my wife suggested we go as she was slightly concerned why was it empty at that time of the evening, whereas Khans, Grilandia and Banana Tree all on same street were busy with diners eating in, I chose to stay and suggested we give them a go as kids were hungry. Ordered the Full Platter 2 (Pic 1) which also comes with a mixed Mezze (Pic 2) this is were it all went wrong for a few reasons which I will list below -
Overdue 5 star* review considering I have been going to Lokkanta for a few years now. Usually on a Friday night. I have got to know the friendly and respectable staff with exceptional customer service. I usually order the mixed platter for 2 which always too much food for us! (Tastes even better the next day! Honestly!) The guys usually provide complimentary bread which is served with hummous and different Turkish Salads and dishes. This is a great starter! Then we the main platter full of flavoursome meats and rice. Lamb chops, Ribs, Chicken Wings, Lamb or Chicken Doner, Lamb cutlets, Chicken Cutlets, Lamb Adana Kebab and Chicken Adana Kebab! Seriously value for money in a nicely decorated restaurant. After this the guys insist on providing Turkish Tea with Baklava which is also lovely and fresh. And then when you pay they top it all up with a cube of Turkish delight alongside the bill. I wish these guys the best, keep up the exceptional service and tasty food. BEST TURKISH RESTAURANT IN...

As there were three of us, we decided to have a range of dishes and share between us all. All together, we had the king prawns, babagonash, humus, Sucuk with halloumi calamari, sigara borek, muska borek, feta salad, the Lokkanta special grill and the halloumi kebab. All tasted delicious, the standout dishes for us were the lamb from the Lokkanta special grill, sigara borek, and the muska borek. Everything was perfect; the service and recommendations were great, the dishes arrived promptly, and the flavours of the dishes were great.
We then finished with 1 Turkish tea and 2 Lokkanta special teas, which come with honey, mint, and oranges (unfortunately, they did not have any oranges).
Overall, Lokkanta is a great spot to visit, great service, great food, and...
