Grilandia Bayswater — Restaurant in London

I am a regular customer of Grilandia Bayswater since 2018, when the restaurant first opened and it is always a joy for me to go there! The food is fantastic, healthy, genuine and authentic Lebanese, the venue is elegant and cosy, the atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant, the staff is very friendly and makes you feel at home!

I always order the Lunch Menu – Daily Booster (Shish Taouk = Grilled marinated chicken) – It comes with hummus, mixed salad and warm pitta bread! I love this dish! It’s my favourite! I never get tired of it!

I recently organised a big dinner with my friends in February 2024. It was a big group and Grilandia Bayswater was the perfect place for us! We opted for the Set Menu with the Mixed Grill Platter and various starters, including Hummus and Fattoush Salad. Everybody enjoyed the food a lot, it was so delicious and the portions very generous! The Manager Khalil warmly welcomed us and went the extra mile to accommodate us with all our special requests! I am so pleased and grateful to him and to all the staff!

The food at this Lebanese restaurant is generally very good, with fresh and flavorful ingredients, but it has one significant drawback: the olive oil. As a central element of Lebanese cuisine, olive oil should stand out, but here it is sadly subpar—olive oil in name only. This is a real pity, as it detracts from an otherwise enjoyable culinary experience.

Another issue is the lack of proper heating in the restaurant. The space is uncomfortably cold, and the owner (or boss) seems overly focused on saving on electricity bills. He wore a snow jacket throughout the entire service, claiming it was because he frequently goes in and out, but he remained in his jacket without going out, throughout the entire time we were there.

Finally, when we requested takeaway, we were handed a box so we could pack the food ourselves, which felt out of place for a restaurant of this caliber.

Went on Sunday for a brunch breakfast went in with two year old daughter. The whole place was empty just 1 other person who already had her meal. Staff saw me struggle with the pram and the door no service or help was offered. I went in sat and when I chose my meal from the menu I wanted to get sunny side up eggs for my daughter and she told me “the cook won’t like it” I was actually shocked it’s a normal egg she kept saying they can only make what’s on the menu when I asked what kind of eggs that can give my daughter (scrambled or omelette) she said whatever the chef can do it’s not scrambled but it’s not fried. Her attitude was as though she didn’t want to be at work nor did she care if I ordered. I would understand completely if the place was busy but we was the only ones their.
