Wonderful family owned Thai restaurant. Very chic, wonderfully comfortable and definitely Instagrammable. The kitchen was situated in the bar area so was essentially an “open kitchen”.
Customer service - Service was excellent - friendly and warm, typically Thai…service with a smile.
Washroom - The bathroom was beautifully decorated and clean.
Food - took a little long but tasted absolutely delicious. Beautifully presented and the flavours were authentic. For starters we had the ribs and spring rolls. Both were exceptional. Ribs were wonderfully flavoursome and succulent. Spring rolls were generously filled. We had mains from their lunch menu. Again aesthetically pleasing and delicious. The flavours took me back to Thailand. Couldn’t fault the food.
Drinks - extensive drinks menu and a good selection of mocktails. We had a peach and lychee fizz but was a tad too sweet for my liking so I ordered water to dilute.
Price - it was a birthday treat but the menu on the prices were a bit pricey for everyday lunch but definitely worth it as a treat.
Would I return - YES!! Loved the food, loved the service, loved the decor...
Read moreHad an impromptu lunch here and was far from impressed. I ordered a lunch special, the prime ministers choice (£16), and my wife had the pad sieyu gai (£15), and we share spring rolls (£8). The prime ministers choice is Prawn Pad Thai and a chicken skewer, the dish arrived and guess what? You get 1 whole prawn on this pad thai for a £16 dish. I was in disbelief and asked the server to confirm it wasn’t some mistake but nope it was indeed the case. In which world it makes sense to charge this astronomical price for a pad Thai that comes with 1 prawn is unbelievable. Over to my wife’s lunch, the noodles were ok and typical in taste while the chicken was deplorable. Literally zero seasoning and felt like someone just fried chicken thighs and added it to noodles. In summary we paid close to £50 on a lunch where the spring rolls were the best thing there. I guess there is a reason this place is almost always empty. Too bad as it is nicely decorated but doesn’t make up for the rest...
Read moreLast week went for a meal here. Restaurant looks nice. Food was fair, but unfortunately the Thai beef yum yum salad had NO Thai Basil, this was a let down. No Thai Basil at all, and this is a staple ingredient in such a dish. It was basic and quite disappointing. The meat was also not good quality.
The lemon grass chicken had absolutely no lemongrass on at all. No flavour whatsoever. Pretty disappointing.
The purple flowers were good, and the money bags were nice.
The drinks seemed lacking in flavour and the waitress didn't seem to handle our feedback in the way that would have made it better.
4 drinks and 4 apptezier dishes cost apx £89.99
Unfortunately it was disappointing due to the main events we had basic expectations of.
Next time I would rather go to an authentic Thai restaurant as I don't think they would put food out that was missing the essential ingredients and flavours of...
