We visited based on strong reviews but found the food underwhelming and overpriced for the quality. Most starters are around ÂŁ15 and mains ÂŁ20â25, which would be fine if the execution matched the price.
The ceviche was decent, but croquetas were overly salty and lacked any real flavour. The slow-cooked lamb (ÂŁ25) wasnât slow-cooked (slow cooked means it falls off the bone), it was tough, with average flavours, overcooked rice, and barely any veg. The quinoa main course was bland, tasting of very little.
Drinks were a mixed bag: the pisco sours were OK (a bit weak perhaps), wine was disappointing, but reasonably priced compared to the food. The toilets were pretty grim.
We spent ÂŁ150 for two cocktails, four glasses of wine, starters and mains, no desserts, and left feeling it wasnât worth it.
The glowing reviews suggest a premium dining experience, but in our view, it fell short. Just being honest so expectations...
Read moreThe first thing to say is that the food is very nice, though not inexpensive. However we were not impressed when it came to ordering the wine. We had two glasses of house white at the end of happy hour as our aperitif, but when we tried to order a bottle of the same to accompany the food, there were apparently no more in stock. This was the Chilean house wine in a South American restaurant. They tried to encourage us towards much more expensive bottles, however we found an alternative affordable option, which we ordered. When receiving the bill, we found we had been served a much more expensive bottle of a similar wine. It all seems too much of a coincidence. To be fair, they then changed the price on the bill to the wine we had actually ordered but not been served. All I would say is pay attention. It just felt a bit as if we were being taken for...
Read moreLast min decision, before kitchen closes, to come here for a drink for husband's bday because we couldn't find any candle at our hotel or stores nearby. Was in London for other issues and not well prepared.
This place happens to offer one of our favourite kind of cusine - Ordered ceviche and drinks...both amazing for ceviche lovers!!! Portions were bigger compared to ceviche in Soho. Owner even lit up firework candle on our own cake!:) We ended this special night with singings, laughter, and blessings. There was even discount on Tuesday night, another surprise!
Thanks for the great food and kindness during this difficult time. Really hope things will be better soon....
