The restaurant owner is not tourists friendly. My friends and I chose this restaurant, we did not finish the foods because they were not as good as we expected. The Greek restaurant in White city is way much better. The owner always lied, like he said we left at 11pm, but we left at 8:30pm; he said we only get a lemon for the entire meal, thats weird, we cant finish chips and salad, only good one is the bread. The wine is okay, but we didn’t enjoy the meal as he said. Again, the one in Westfield is way better, also when the staff asked if we are okay with the bill, we said no service charge please, then the staff took his phone out and act like calculating, then put the ´new’ amount into the card machine and asked us enter the pin without letting us check, one more lie, we requested to use amex as the restaurant shows at least 3 amex stickers on the door, however when we paid the bill he said amex charge is very expensive and refused to let us pay by amex. I cant believe such a restaurant has high rating. Tourists please don’t go to this restaurant, because they are not honest. If 10% charge is compulsory, we have no idea why the waiter needed to take out his phone and act like he was calculating the amount. Just a restaurant of lie. Anyway, what a poor thing when I asked him to be honest then he called me liar.
If no star is a choice I would definitely choose it. The staff is a lair, I said no service charge but he pretended recalculating and then asked us just enter the pin. Then my bank app shows the amount is still with service charge. The foods and service are awful. Not worth the price. The salad was weird, the lamb is tasteless. The staff lied, this is a very horrible dinning experience.
Why pretended to calculate the amount without service charge? Simply tell us this is compulsory is fine. What lemon? We left chips and salad. We love greek food, the one is Westfield is way better. Why accused us of leaving at 11pm? We left at 8:30 Why refused to take amex while you put the amex sign on the door? What protesting? You referring something happened recently? You make us feel like we are discriminated.
Why you keep telling lies? 1.you lie! We didnt finish chips and salad 2.You expect we tell you we enjoy the bread only so we finished all the bread ? Lie again! You said 5% charge so you dont take amex If the charge is compulsory, simply let us know. Dont pretend to deduct it, or because of our skin color so you did that to insult us? Through all the conversation we just feel we are being discriminated. Now explain why you pretend to do the calculation, because you want...
Read moreVery disappointing!
Reading all 5 stars reviews I had really high expectations from this restaurant. Unfortunately they seriously disappointed me in terms of taste and quality of the food. Wasted my time and money afraid to say.
I went there after work to have a nice charcoal kebab. I ordered Lahmacun and ayran for starter, lamb shish for main. In my opinion, they should not even call that "lahmacun" as it looked and tasted more like minced meet poorly cooked then scattered over a wrap and served cold. Also, you would normally get proper side salads in Turkish restaurants but they served me a lime instead! Ayran tasted very strange too.
Then the main course (or should I say "the main disaster") was so tasteless and smelled strange. Lamb tasted nothing like proper lamb shish you would get from a normal Turkish restaurant. Even a take away shop serves better tasting shish.
When I went there I was so hungry, I tried to supress my inner critic and forced myself eating some more, but in the end I gave up. I couldn't finish my "main disaster" and provided my feedback (complaints) to the waiter, however he could not care less. He was polite and smiley, but simply said he would inform the chef.
Overall, this restaurant might deserve a star just because the service is nice and place is comfortable. Hope they improve...
Read moreRight from walking into the restaurant we were greeted by waiter Luka and Owner Mo. The ambience and decor were perfect and lots of space to sit and comfortable tables and chairs. Great first impression. We got served drinks straight away and took our order when when the two of us were ready. I have to say the starter to main and sweet were out of this world. Served on large plates the way it should. The staff there were really friendly and even gave us free tea in real china cups and tea pot. Persion tea. We were so impressed before we finished and left asked Mo and luka to sit with us for a while before they closed up around midnight. It was so nice to be looked after and have nice conversation after eating the best Albanian, Persion and Greek foods and tea and cake i have ever had. It made it such a lovely evening.
Thankyou Mo and Luka and the amazing food also served by their chef.
Definitely worth it and will go again soon!!!
If i could give it more than a 5 star rating they already have. It would be 10 or more.
(Thankyou) once...
