Have been for drinks and dinner before and it was decent. Unfortunately, made a booking for dinner which was bad from start to finish this time. They didn't have a record of the booking when we arrived. They unapologetically didn't have a large portion of the menu items. Cant swap chips for veg because management doesn't allow it? We will serve you burgers but we have no buns? Tesco is a block away, no one could go in the 45 min it took to get our food in an empty restaurant? Burgers can only be well-done because it's a requirement of the supplier? What quality of meat are they serving??
Honestly there were enough red flags we should have left but instead ordered and regretted the decision. Cooked to a crisp burgers served with nothing but the worlds worst salad on a plate. Fish and chips was breaded and cooked with skin still on. No one in a group of 7 happy with what came.
Management took the worst off the bill but excuse was it was the head chefs recipes that no one could change. Pity, as we came as a group 2 years before and had a lovely meal. Unfortunately...

Read moreWe went here for dinner. This is a seemingly tiny pub under an arch of the road that becomes London Bridge - take the stairs down on the west side near Pizza Express to find it. Inside, the pub opens up into a quaint and charming bar area with dining rooms to the side - much bigger than it first appears. Drinks were well-priced (100ml port for £5-6) and they had a great value dinner offer when we went. The main of fennel and lemon risotto with chilli was one of the best recent risottos I've had in London even compared to Italian restaurants. Fish and chips were perfect too with pea puree and tartare sauce. Desserts of sticky toffee pudding and chocolate hazelnut brownie were both delicious. Two courses were sufficiently filling for us. Service was very good although the waiter seemed a...
