pros:
standard great nandos food, good mash, drinks, nandos chicken.
cons:
the staff are; awkward, lagging, clumsy, bored, lazy, have weird vibes, stare at you, super slow, seriously incompetent. overall the didn't seem to know what was going on and honestly made us feel uncomfortable and like we didn't belong there.
young waiter no.1 looked like he was the villain from get out instead of the other way round just from the way he stared at us across the till while we ate our food.
young waiter no. 2 with scruffy greasy hair is the most off this planet, bored, slow, idiotic being i have ever laid eyes upon.
the shorter lady wondering around the restaurant. after observing looked to be in charge in some way, she clearly hates the job, pretty sure she was contemplating her life looking into our food under the heater instead of sorting out what is what and getting it to us within a good amount of time.
the atmosphere was like treading on eggshells upon first entering to leaving after food, both times no-one said a friendly hello or goodbye. we ending up waiting 15 minutes to be seated outdoors and having to ask to move inside due to screaming children and the main road, the wait I would understand if it wasn't for the plenty of empty tables inside and outside, as well as the fact that they let people in of various group sizes during our wait of 15 minutes which we found was rude as we felt left out or not wanted in a way, never has this happened before in any restaurant, it was disappointing as we're so used to the usual cheery, excited, fast paced, quite glamorous nandos experience that we're both used too.
rate it a 4/10 - only because the food is good, but was dry as it was left under the...
Read moreDo not trust this place. I'm a tourist and stopped here with a group to eat. I paid with a credit card and after paying, I was sorting through my bag for a moment when one of the worker's swiped my card. I went back to my table and when I looked through my wallet, realized I never got my card back.
I went back to the cashier (the time that has passed now is probably around 45 seconds) and the young girl looks "surprised" and as if she doesn't know what I'm talking about. Another worker is watching me frantically look for my card and then comes over, pulls it out of his pocket and says "I just found this".
At first I thought maybe he had good intentions and that he really did just "find" my card. But after thinking more about it, how is it that neither worker actually thought to just come up to me with the card immediately and say "you left this behind" if I did in fact leave it behind? The restaurant was not busy at all and it was quite clear who the card belonged to. How is it that after just about 45 seconds of stepping away from the counter, the cashier suddenly looks flabbergasted as if she has no idea what I'm talking about? Why were the two employees exchanging weird looks as if I ruined their plan?
It was pretty clear that the two workers seem to regularly do this kind of thing, and they were surprised somebody noticed a missing card so quickly. There was no remorse, apology, or even excuse provided. They simply just gave me my card back as if nothing had happened.
As I said earlier, avoid this place. The employees are not trustworthy and are likely trying to prey...
Read moreYesterday at this Nando’s I saw it all! The waitress were a nightmare to say the least. A young lady was cleaning the table and throwing all the food on the floor; even if it’s your first day do you drop the food on your table on the floor at home. Then using the same cloth she cleaned the table tops with, she proceeded to clean the seats then back to the table again. There was a young man coming to all the wrong table with people order as well. One young lady was holding the jars of sauces under her arm after removing them from the table and drinking from a big blue cup in the middle of taking people’s order to their table. She proceeded to hold clean glasses at the rim of the glass as she took it to patrons in the restaurant. There was another issue where I saw was a bin man came off his dustbin truck wearing his dirty gloves which he has been holding filthy bins, garbage and god knows what else, walked into Nando’s with two dirty large cup and went straight to the soda fountain filling his cups with the sodas of his choice. I was flabbergasted and just thought what was going on yesterday. I do frequent that branch so I know the staff there are really hard working. There is no crime in offering the bin man some soda, my point is get the staff to do it. Not your filthy gloves from all the bins you have been touching. With all the germs present now and becoming resistant to medications I was really disappointed to see this. Please advise the staff about food hygiene and serving...
