On entering was told 30 minute wait. Name was taken down along with phone number and email. Was told I will be notified when a table would become avaialble. Yes the message did actually work and came through in sms. I actually just waited inside and I was seated within 10 mins. Placing order was no problem. Wait for food was not too bad. Quality of food I don't think was great. You can't get chios or sides wrong really. It's all about the chicken. The skin should be crispy and not gelatinous and squidgy because that is unpleasant! This is where I think many nandos go wrong and often the reason I may go to nados like 3 times a year tops. I often end up going with other people who want to go there. Great flavours which we have all become accustomed too but unfortunately I have also become accustomed to this way of cooking the chicken. To be fair to the grill chef I guess the pressure is on to get food out and tonight the place was heaving. The manager was leading by example and getting stuck in clearing tables, tending to guests,serving etc. Haven't seen such a hands in manager in a while and I commended him on it. Well done Karim. I do feel though that the others are just shy of your standards. Could have done with a few more extra hands in there I think as you looked stretched. One lady came and asked to take the sauces (2 bottles) explained we were still using. Looked over to see if they were shirt hence her asking but this wasn't the case. So hold your horses and don't be so eager to clear tabke when guests are still eating please. On the positive the table was cleared promptly which gave space for dessert plates. Karim checked in on us and chased up desserts. Dessert was not bad. Had the choc dessert with some.choclate orange sauce. Restaurant itself was okay and pleasant enough. Think some places cam do with a little more lighting as can be dark and dingey. Few things that I must point out that bothered me. First is that laminate on the ceiling. It's knackered and peeling. It's needs replacing or some new lacquer or something. I'm sure guests won't be happy if that falls in their food and it's verry possible. Second was how dirty that Dyson hand dryer is. Groce. You wash hand and expect them to stay clean not wash and potentially get germs on them! On the whole good service and what you would expect from nandos. Standouts were Karim (positive) and the cooking of the chicken (negative). We waited with 6 of us inc. baby for our table to be cleaned 15 minutes later still no one cleaning the table when I decided to go and order the server asked his colleague are you busy yo which he replied no and asked him if he could clean the table to which he did immediately. Order was take with no mention of drinks not being ok infact the server forgot to give me glasses. when we went back for glasses we realised that all drinks were lacking correct syrup and gas. there was no sauces left leaving me to beg from tables that looked like they were nearly finished eating. no plates either!
when the food came out the rice didn't look apetising and one rice dish was missing. had to ask the waiter for our rice and plates. it took three staff 10 minutes to find plates in which time the food that looked ok had now gone a little cold (it wasn't piping hot to begin with). I'm sure I have had take away Nandos that was warmer! I'm trying to find something nice to say ! the atmosphere was nice! the chips were ok!
I had no choice but to complain to.the manager.
poor guy looked drained and exhausted as if he had alot of complaints. he listened to all my complaining poor guy and just replied I'll go and change the syrup to the drinks machine.
I felt sorry for him and decided not to take my complaint further as I was worried he may go home and top himself!!!
there was other customers getting refunded and looking generally disappointed.
I realised why I normally drive to feltham all the way to Kensington High St. bayswater or uxbridge to escape the experience that is houbslow nandos !! :(

Read moreOne star for the new manager. Indian with blonde highlights. Very rude and aggressive behaviour. Unsure what she was trying to achieve by saying she will bring the card machine. Very baffling. Think she is disgusting and her behaviour very appalling. I have come to this nandos for a long time and she is making it miserable for many people wanting to enjoy their time here. I am really appalled by her service and really do not appreciate the way she behaved. If she wanted to charge for drink which I was going to pay for regardless and go to the til as I normally do. She could have come to me and asked me when I had sat down. Not harassed me and made me feel like a criminal. I should actually report her for verbal assault I’m sure the local police would pay a visit and give her a verbal warning due to her behaviour that felt threatening and intimidating. I am unsure why she has felt the need to behave this way and do not understand why she comes to me and harassing me for no reason. I feel disgusted after coming here for so long and do feel as though she should be held accountable for this. I really don’t appreciate what she has done and feel like she is making the store and service go completely downhill. Hounslow Nandos has always been like second home to many in the community. But this lady is making it feel like an unwelcoming and miserable place to be. It is felt to me in the store and I feel that I won’t be back any time soon until a new manager comes into place.
