Lets begin this review by letting me say that good reviews does not equate to good food.
The food was OK... Poor quality meat, I've never in my life seen YELLOW chicken breast in my life.
My husband and I first ordered a sharing plate to start, we ordered the hoisin duck wraps. The duck was very sad looking and questionable tasting, thank goodness for the power of hoisin to mask the taste.
We both ordered the special pho soup, mainly because it had chicken and beef with really flowery writing. It said chicken breast and rib eye flank steak. I don't think we got either of these, rather the chicken breast was stringy and yellow and the steak was fatty and stale tasting. In my experience even the name is used wrong, special pho traditionally comes with beef balls, tripe, flank, and rare beef, but I know what I ordered so I wasn't going to tell them they're using the name Special Pho wrong.
The soup was hot but not bubbling almost like it was microwaved but the flavour was there.
Instantly halfway eating the soup both our stomachs started retching and contorting in ways that I have never felt. It was almost as if the questionable meat had made it known that it has arrived in the pits of my stomach ready to make it home for 15 mins until it made me sprint to the washrooms holding my cheeks so that the meat didn't push through prematurely.
The service was good, the owner came to us at the end of the night to ask us how the food was and wished us a happy new year.
This restaurant is perfect example of how people with poor taste have the power to make a restaurant with poor tasting food look incredible.
If you want OKAY quality food at a decent price then this...

Loved the service here. Very accommodating and patient with our big group.
We started off with some spring rolls which were perfect. The outside was so crispy and golden. The insides were flavourful and juicy.
We then got the seafood platter which I highly recommend for trying a lil bit of everything. my favourite from the selection was the papaya salad and the salted and peppered squid. The salad was punchy, fresh but didn't have a lot of heat to it.
I got the spicy duck Pho for the main meal which was good. It unfortunately was not enough pho and tasted more like chicken soup. Mine was missing that classic pho spice profile and lacked some of that needed umami flavour. the pieces of duck were well-roasted, with great flavour and tenderness.
I sampled the rare beef pho and some of the Ha Noi Fish. The other Pho was spot on and I loved the taste of the fish.
I would definitely go here again as the price, service, and quality were great. Looking forward to trying more of...
