What a wonderful cafe, the food is spot on reminds me of Italian home cooking, the food here is amazing just spot on, you want to try everything and it is heavy on the carbs but afterwards you can go for a very long walk. The pasta was fresh and the sauce was delicious, the calzone pizza was very big but the ingredients was again wonderful, we also had a lasagna which was very tasty. The deserts the tiramisu was rich and not too sweet. The ice cream was delicious full on flavours and fresh tasting. The lunch time was busy and we came a bit late and managed to squeeze together. They were busy but they did look after us. Very good prices and they have so many other food stuffs to buy for home, pasta, juices, biscuits. I will go back here anytime. If you found my review helpful please press like. Thank you

We went today and the pizza with eggplant I had was delicious and the crab pasta was fresh and tasty. The hazelnut and vanilla ice cream was to die for. The tiramisu was light and easy on the stomach. They were as always very nice and friendly. I always enjoy coming here and food is fast for customers. I highly recommend here.

Went today and I got a calzone pizza and they were okay to swap out the chillis with eggplant, it was huge and delicious. My gf pizza was huge and stunning. We shared a pasta which was fresh and the Ragu with meat sauce is delicious. You know it's good when it's packed with Italians bringing their friends here. The gelato was so good, vanilla and hazelnut is my choice. I am never disappointed it's...

It's an Italian delicatessen with some tables for lunch or a daytime snack. The atmosphere is lovely. There are a few tables on the sidewalk when the weather is warm.

You do need to be savvy with what to order, as it is a shop, and not really a restaurant. In the past, I was disappointed that both main ingredients of an order of potato gnocchi with pesto were factory made. I see a lot of people order an aperitivo with charcuterie and cheese which would be an excellent choice in a delicatessen. We tried some of their simple pizza's which were very good. I don't usually like tomato sauce so ordered the Frarielli, and my companion whose stomach gets upset by too much cheese ordered the Marinara. The crusts were good--very thin. I liked that both pizza's used a light hand with toppings so were not stodgy. I was surprised I really liked my companion's Marinara with only tomato, capers, anjovy and black pepper. The tomato sauce tasted fresh and clean, with not hint of tomato paste, which I dislike.

Coffee afterwards...

Oh my goodness! We were staying in an Airbnb nearby and stumbled upon this AMAZING place! Small, cozy, and felt like we were with friends and family! We walked in right when the kitchen was about to close with a party of four. We saw there was a tiny little table with 3 chairs and another one tucked away with 2 chairs. We could not fit in the spaces, but they quickly did some rearranging with the help of a customer and got us seated at a table for four. They were so on top of everything, and got our order in so that we didn’t miss the kitchen closing. We all had something different and it was all top notch! We went in the following day and purchased sliced salami from their deli and what a snack! If you’re ever wanting some of the best Italian food, make a reservation and say hi to the staff! You’ll need a reservation as they do fill up quickly and everyone wants to stay because the atmosphere is...

This is a one-off place which makes reviewing a worthwhile pass time. What’s the point of reviewing a McDonald’s when they’re all the same? Talking of McDonald’s though, part of the quaintness of this joint is that they are so far removed from McDonald’s in terms of efficiency. I can’t help think of the film “the founder“ when I watch all those Italian workers rushing around with a purpose known only to themselves. Oh the food? It’s great! If you want authentic Panini’s this is where you come. Along with all things Italian. Apparently after the war Clerkenwell is where Italian immigrants settled so you could say this is the heart of London’s Italian quarter.
