No3 at Nightingale Place — Restaurant in London

Went there to celebrate Mother’s Day and unfortunately it was a unpleasant experience. Firstly, it was under-staffed, after we ordered, there was no staff came around in the next 30 minutes, it’s hard to request for more water. We were told the prawn tempura had 2 last serving but when it was served, one of the serving only got 2 instead of 3 tempura, and the staff didn’t provide any explanation or apologies. One of the hot dishes is served cold. We then waited for 45 minutes and the main was not served, we then saw the table around us who arrived at least 30 minutes earlier were also waiting for the main. What’s disappointing was that the staff in general didn’t come to see if you need anything or they tried to avoid coming in case there was complaints. It was until the lead staff who came and apologized for the delay, explaining that the chef didn’t show up and voided the bill. The lead staff was the only staff I felt who understood customer service. However I would think they should explain the situation in advance rather than telling the customers only after they had been waiting for the food for 2 hours. Truly some of the worst service I have ever experienced. Came here for my grandmas 90th birthday. The manager was possibly the rudest man I’ve ever met, the food was bland and dry. We’d provided allergy information weeks in advance but this clearly went ignored because after waiting an extra half an hour for my food (I’m the one with allergies) I was brought a plate of what was clearly tescos OWN BRAND free from cakes. Someone had clearly nipped to the super market in an attempt to rectify the mistake. These cakes cost £3.20. Tea was £25/head. Laughable. Would give 0 stars if I could but let’s say the 1 star is for the waitress who was on her first ever shift and was very sweet. Given that this was such a momentous occasion my family and I were very disappointed. Would highly recommend that no one wastes their money here. If they can’t make an effort for a 90th birthday with 30 guests (so a significant guaranteed income) I doubt they’d make an effort...

Came here for a Mother’s Day lunch and overall mediocre at best. 1st impressions weren’t as staff didn’t not greet upon arrival. Told only 1 starter out of 3 on set menu is available, few other mains also not available.

Service was a mixed bag- young waiter who sat us down I’m assuming (hoping) was new as he never knew what beers they had on tap, said he ordered me a pint of peroni then gave me a bottle and shrugged when my wife asked for a soft drinks menu.

Young lady who took our food order was excellent on the other hand, attentive friendly and served with a smile. And the older gentleman who looked like a manager was also great.

Food itself was good- really good quality of food especially for the set menu price. The sirloin was very good.

The main room for improvement is definitely the lack of atmosphere felt like I was dining in a sports hall- maybe some background...
