🚇 Nine Elms 🍺 £5.00 Guinness ❤️ A superb community Irish pub. . Nolan’s is located at the end of a precinct of shops on Wilcox Road in South Lambeth. The nearest tube is Nine Elms which is just a couple of minutes walk away. At the opposite end of the precinct is the long closed Gladstone pub. . This pub’s footprint is quite unique as it’s a long building that is detached. This pub was built in 1856 and used to be a Courage House called The Prince of Wales. . The decor here oozes proper oldschool pub which I loved. There is a stripped wood floor throughout, the walls are painted blue to add a splash of colour and overall the ambiance was cheery. There are three dartboards if you fancy a game of arrows and a pool table near to the entrance to the bar. There are loads of trophies on shelves around the walls celebrating the pub’s success at the oche. This pub loves its sport and always shows live action on the screens around the bar. Being an Irish pub you will see plenty of signs and prints advertising the black stuff, no pub would be complete without a fish tank behind the bar! . The beer line up was straight up with familiar keg favourites but no cask. If you’re going to visit an Irish pub then you have to try the Guinness, my pint was top notch and I really enjoyed it, price point was a fiver, happy days. The pub doesn’t serve food but bar snacks are available. . I arrived with my Brother and Nephew just after opening on a Saturday morning and we were the first punters in. We were served by the lovely Landlady who was very welcoming and all smiles. There was lots of activity going on preparing the pub for the days trade. We sat having a chat and watching the golf on one of the screens and all commented how enjoyable the pub felt. . I absolutely loved this pub, get yourself over to SW8 to enjoy great hospitality in a proper oldschool Irish pub. . ℹ️ Info correct on...

At first, we found Nolan’s Pub and absolutely loved it — the vibe was amazing, the staff were friendly, and the games (like pool) made it a really fun, welcoming place. We were genuinely excited and even decided we’d make it our regular local pub.
However, to our surprise, we had a very upsetting experience recently. We came in, looking forward to a pint and a game of pool, and brought our newborn along with us. As we walked in, a woman who introduced herself as the owner, “Mrs. Nolan,” immediately told us — very abruptly and rudely — that no babies were allowed. We were shocked at how she spoke to us, especially since we had been there before with children during the day and were told by the staff that kids were welcome, with the reasonable condition that they leave by 7 PM.
What was most hurtful, though, was the manner in which we were addressed. It felt dismissive and unnecessarily hostile. Given the tone and the fact that our baby is of a different race, we were left feeling deeply uncomfortable and offended. We sincerely hope this wasn’t a factor, but the way we were treated raised serious concerns.
Sadly, we won’t be returning. What began as a favorite local spot turned into a very disappointing and...

Somewhere where the pints are creamy and the people are kind. Where you're not hassled by the over-modernized outside world, and you feel like you're in a film.
If you would like to be that person, you should come here. You will be welcomed, charmed, and then served a gorgeous Guinness. To accompany this, there are people.
A lot of pubs don't have publicans anymore. A person that makes you feel welcomed and safe. This cannot be said about Nolans and Mr. Nolan himself. Everyone there is charming.
To accompany the charming people, there is a charming building. It is stalwart against the rising tide of change that is forever drowning this city. The decor is solid, used, and all the more beautiful for it.
Accomplishments of the various darts players litter the walls, and there is always a steady click from the pool players by the door. And in the background, there is music. The jukebox sings about a thing called love.
But I don't need to listen because I have already found it.
Come here and support places like this.
