Oscars cafe is very friendly, clean and reasonably priced. The only let downs: the ketchup bottles used are heinz but the ketchup is not heinz. They have filled the heinz bottles with cheap ketchup. I understand the need for cost cutting. But with such a nice looking cafe they should make an effort to provide genuine heinz or if they want to stick with industrial ketchup then at least put the ketchup in a non branded red bottle.

Same issue with the sausage and beans. I had the full English fry up and I was hoping for a genuine sausage but alas one of the frozen mass produced sausages came with my fry up. Once again it may cost slightly more for a real sausage but I guarantee the customer satisfaction would be alot higher if real sausages were provided.

So. overall. Nice cafe, nice area, nice staff. Just sort out the ketchup and...

Used to love this cafe, but the guy in charge is so rude. I felt so sorry for the nice girl who was serving me, he barged in and very rudely stated I couldn’t pay by card (even though I had before and accepted the charge), he demanded I buy more food but I refused and said I would come back with cash, he then proceeded to snatch the rocky road I had chosen and slam it back on the shelf and told me to leave. He also seemed really handsy with the women serving. Won’t go back again, such a shame the nice place I knew has gone downhill. The coffee is pretty good, just don’t want it from a rude, nearly...

Be very careful when you pay there. They overcharged me for the coffee, and it was my mistake not to check the total before paying. After I paid, I realized the error and went back in to ask for the receipt. The man who was serving said, 'Oh, I charged you for the extra shot because otherwise, the coffee would’ve been weak.' Well, nobody asked for it, and at the very least, they should inform us before deciding on our behalf.

It's a pity because the coffee was good, but scamming customers like that is not...
