If I could rate this Cafe with a minus, I would! One of the WORST Cafes I've ever been to! The staff members are VERY rude and insulting. Today, they banged on the toilet door (while we were inside) and shouted at us, demanding that we MUST leave their toilet and exit their Cafe as soon as possible and to never come back again, because the toilets were for the customers only, which they never mentioned to us before and I had asked them before hand if we could use their filthy and disgusting toilets (although we weren't their customers) and they relied that we could! I will NEVER go to this Cafe again!!!!
"we" = my 4 year old son and I. He was VERY terrified and afraid of the staff's disgusting behaviour*
I'm very dissatisfied with the Cafe's staff! Today, my 4 year old son and I were sitting on a bench in the park, when suddenly a middle aged European looking lady came towards us and started harassing us for no reason! When I asked her who she was, she replied by saying "I'm an old friend of the lady that works in the Cafe". My son was very terrified of her and didn't want to be in the park to play. I have had just enough of these aggressive people. If this happens again, I will definitely report both ladies to the police for harassment and...
Read moreWhat a shame. The chalk board menu looked very appealing, with a good selection of food. I have been twice now and both occasions were disappointing to say the least. On my first visit a rather direct lady asked us what we wanted and that some items were not available. I asked her what wasn't available, only to be told that she wasn't willing to go through the list and asked me tell her what I wanted. I asked for a savoury crepe - not available. This happened with the next item too! In the end I had scrambled eggs and bacon on toast. Eggs were unseasoned, bacon oven cooked and underdone, toast anaemic. We went again a week later. This time I had a club sandwich and wished I didn't. Three pieces of white sliced bread that saw the toaster for what must of been a few seconds. One piece of bacon, the thinest slice of cheese you've ever seen, a sprinkle of iceberg lettuce, half a slice of processed ham and finished with a smear of mayo. I have never seen such a woeful excuse for a club sandwich. It couldn't have been more than 1cm thick. In all honesty I really don't know how she had the nerve to even put it...
Read morePalewell Cafe on the Common is by far my favourite cafe in London! Not just for its stunning location, but more importantly for the outstanding and personal customer service. The owner Ranjeet is very friendly to everybody, very accommodating, always trying to help and please. Her sandwiches and lunch choices are delicious! Once my 12-year-old son went there without money and Ranjeet still gave him an ice-cream for free! I am not the only fan. I have spotted there the likes of Tom Hardy, Bryan May and Sally Phillips who are regulars 😉 thank you! Keep up...
