I went for dinner with a friend tonight and it was a bit of a mess from start to finish. We arrived a bit late for our 7pm reservation to be told that someone else had been seated in my name at our table, either way no problem and we were seated somewhere else. Then we sat at the table for about 15 mins before someone approached our table to ask if we had ordered, we said no and ordered some drinks first. After we waited around another 15 mins for our food order to be taken, then took more than 45 mins for our two mains and one starter to arrive. When we were trying to find someone to ask where our food was we couldn’t get anybody’s attention. The chef then sent out some ‘apology’ olives which was a nice gesture but we sent them back as neither of us ate olives. I would’ve much rather had a complimentary dessert or be asked what we would’ve liked. We then received our starter first which we had asked to be brought with our mains, and were told our pasta would be out soon. As the starter was mine and I didn’t want it to get cold I then had to start eating before my friend’s food arrived.
When our pasta was brought out we had been in the restaurant for over an hour at that point. My truffle ravioli was a bit bland and well underdone, when you picked it up with your fork it didn’t move at all and it was quite hard when you bit it. I really like my pasta al dente but it was a crazy amount of underdone, I was so hungry and didn’t want to wait for another extortionate amount of time for them to make me a new one so I ate it anyway. If someone had approached the table to ask how our food was I would’ve told them so but nobody did. I personally didn’t like my food, but my friend really liked her carbonara, I tasted it and it was delicious, perfectly cooked, hence not giving a 1*. I heard one of the servers apologising for the wait for their food to the table next to us but we never had anyone speak to us or acknowledge the wait time.
After I had asked for the bill I paid with cash and was given two coins as change, one a pound coin and the other a euro. One server took our drinks order, one took our food order, one took our dessert order, and one took our payment. Near enough every time we were approached at the table it was a different server, I’m not sure if they have sections or not but maybe somebody would’ve noticed that we hadn’t ordered food for half an hour or that our food took an hour to arrive if it was one waiter who served us rather than four. Overall it was an alright experience but I think it all could’ve been a lot better if someone had just acknowledged that they had made a mistake or that something had gone wrong rather than no...
Read moreWe had a fantastic family dinner at Pasta Remoli Ealing Broadway and can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was lovely, warm, relaxed, and welcoming. A special thank you to Megan for her excellent service and spot-on recommendations, and to Head Chef Dario, who kindly explained each dish and even let me observe him preparing some of his creations. That personal touch made the evening feel truly special.
We started with the Bruschetta Toasted Focaccia with Tomato, Garlic & Basil simple, fresh, and bursting with flavour. A perfect appetiser to kick things off.
For mains, we enjoyed a variety of dishes, and each one was a standout. I went for the Ajo, Oio e Peperoncino—a beautiful blend of garlic, chilli, parsley, and Italian extra virgin olive oil, served with spaghetti. Simplicity at its best, and done to perfection.
We also had the Seafood Pasta, which was packed with flavour and took us straight to the seaside! The mix of shell-on prawns, mussels, and clams with garlic, chilli, and fresh tomato sauce was fresh, vibrant, and satisfying.
My wife chose the Truffle & Mushrooms Ravioli in Creamy Mushroom Sauce and absolutely loved it. The sauce—made with stewed wild mushrooms, onions, and thyme—was rich, earthy, and comforting, pairing perfectly with the delicate ravioli.
My son also went with the Truffle & Mushrooms in Creamy Mushroom Sauce, opting for tagliatelle as his pasta choice. You can see why the creamy mushroom is their best seller. His dish was packed with flavour, and the tagliatelle held the sauce beautifully.
My youngest picked the Margherita pizza, which was cheesy, classic, and had that perfect crisp base. A definite crowd-pleaser.
What we really loved is how the whole concept works:
Choose your sauce,
Add your preferred pasta,
Top it with cheese, if you wish. It’s a brilliant idea and makes the meal feel personalised and fun for all ages.
To round off the evening, we enjoyed some lovely gelato and, on Megan’s recommendation, shared a slice of the Torta della Nonna. The creamy custard and pine nuts were the perfect end to a memorable meal—light, sweet, and satisfying.
The service throughout was impeccable—friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food. The team made us feel right at home, and it’s clear they care about the full guest experience.
If you’re in Ealing, do yourself a favour and visit Pasta Remoli. Say hello to the amazing team, especially Megan and Chef Dario, and enjoy some delicious, authentic Italian food. We’ll...
Read moreStaying in London I drove over to Ealing Broadway to do some food shopping. However once there looking at the places to eat. I did think about Cote again. Though I looked at various menus, I wasn’t in the mood for Korean or Japanese. I ruled out the Bread Street Kitchen as it was too expensive. I did think about Bill’s which had a fixed price menu which was reasonable. However the last time I was in Ealing I remembered seeing Dicken’s Yard and this time I went and explored and found a pasta place called Pasta Remoli.
I rarely eat pasta out, as I have had some poor experiences, but this place looked good. I did walk around the block once more, but I was tempted by the pasta. The whole street looked very continental and it reminded me of similar streets in Italy, Spain and Greece.
They had plenty of tables inside, but no air conditioning. However as I hadn’t booked, I was allowed to choose where I wanted to sit inside, I sat down and looked over the menu.
It’s actually quite a simple menu, choose your pasta, choose your sauce and then choose your cheese.
You can either have a regular portion or a large portion.
I chose the large portion of Truffle & Mushroom Ravioli (for a £1.80 supplement). For my sauce I went with the simple butter and sage, described as the perfect accompaniment for any of our Ravioli dishes. I was reminded of the delicious pasta dish I had had recently at Bella Italia back in June. For cheese I went with Parmigiano Reggiano.
It looked great when it arrived.
Truffle and Mushroom Ravioli
It tasted great too. The pasta was al dente as it should be. The filling was rather good and the sage butter just added to the dish and didn’t overpower the truffle and mushroom filling. It was just about the right size portion for me. Delicious.
There were some other dishes on the menu beyond the three choices that looked good. There was a special of spaghetti with fresh clams (wasn’t quite sure how fresh the clams would be). I also liked the idea of Simone Remoli’s Signature Dish, Fresh Lobster Spaghetti. Though at £19.80 was slightly beyond my budget. There are also some nice looking starters, sides and deserts.
I got the bill. Notice in London that they always add a service charge, this is also happening in Bristol as well. I always prefer to tip rather than a obligatory charge and will tip well if I had...
