AVOID UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE LIED TO AND GET YOUR ORDER EXCESSIVELY LATE!
My takeaway order has been placed and I was given a time of delivery by 7:35 pm, which in course of time has been extended to 8:05 pm due to the restaurant being busy, that's understandable and I have no issues with that.
However, by 8:10 pm the order was still not delivered, I called the restaurant spoke to the someone who said he is in charge of the place and I was notified that driver left 12 minutes ago, where in fact it takes 7 minutes to drive from the restaurant to my home. Eventually, that person hang up on me cause when asked if he can provide ETA with his answer was 'boss the driver can't fly' and slammed the phone. I have witnessed some bad customer service but this individual makes it to the top 3 easily. SHOCKING!
By 8:20 pm there was still no sign of the delivery, I decided to speak to some from the platform food has been ordered on. Person on the chat investigated it for me and after several minutes confirmed that as per restaurant order has been already delivered that was around 8:30 pm when that statement was made, but no delivery still. Also, I was told it will be investigated in 48 hours someone will come back to me.
Indeed, it has been delivered at 8:50 pm, so 45 minutes late from the already previously delayed by 30 minutes order. When I asked the driver what happened, he stated 'there was a gas problem in the restaurant', so I confronted him saying that someone from the restaurant claimed he has left it a long time ago, for which I got an answer 'no I left the restaurant a few minutes ago, they are lying to you'
No, he has not, food was cold and looked like it was sitting in the packaging for a very long time. Fries were stone cold and soggy due to the steam condensation effect. Wraps beside the fact not being marked (two different levels of spiciness ordered) they were literally stuck to the paper they were wrapped into. Also, the additional extra hot sauce was missing.
The restaurant remained unresponsive with no phone calls answered.
So firstly, I was lied to by both restaurant person, then the driver .
I could forget the excessive waiting time as long as food would be delivered as expected piping hot and freshly made and packed along with right marking and complete items being delivered but even that failed.
Don't waste your time, there is plenty better...

Live tracking is one of the reasons why I prefer other delivery services, but it's not their fault. I have received compensation, but still received a very appalling service from Pepe's Peri Peri.
The order was confirmed at 16:07, when the restaurant added 25 minutes to the delivery time, estimated arrival 17:20. At 17:35: Upon first contact, they promised to deliver it in 15-20 min. Nothing. 18:05: I requested a "where's my order text", nothing. 18:25: Had to contact Just Eat again, where I was offered compensation and I asked my order to be delivered regardless. At 18:46 I gave the restaurant a call, where I was told that the order will be delivered in 10-15min and will receive chicken wings as compensation. "Great". The order has finally arrived around 7pm, three hours after my order. The delivery driver had no idea why the order was never delivered (not his fault), he told us that some people from Webmley had to follow up with this branch to see what's going on. Well... lack of transparency, lack of precision is what happening here. Never had such a disappointing service from them or any takeaway and I was surprised that I will experience one of the takeaway "horror stories". Imagine, you come back from a holiday and have nothing in the fridge, you are too tired to shop and cook. Read morePlease do not get anything from here, we placed on order over the uber. He sent us just one rice box. After calling him and letting him know that you haven't sent us enough. He tells me to order garlic sauce over uber which cost £6 and he will send us extra chicken rice box. I disagreed and told him he needs to get it and delivered to me. He also mentioned that it was ubers fault which is not true. He refused and hung up our call. The guy I spoke to was musadiq other name he said was Tony. He is now not picking our phone up.
It is absolutely disgusting and not professional to do something like this. I will visit him after work and make sure to speak to musadiq or whatever the guys name was.
