Piccolo Café — Restaurant in London

The lone chef must have been really stressed, because he wouldn't pay us any attention when we entered, a "hello, I'll be right with you" would have been sufficient. But no, didn't have time to look at us. However, he did have tile to scold a bicycle courier for sitting on the stairs outside while waiting for the order. After maybe 5 minuters we were able to place our orders and everything was fine. We were told it was not possible to replace tea with coffee, and not even given an option to pay extra for the replacement. To be fair, the food did arrive very fast, but they forgot our tea and sausages. The chef had now been accompanied by a waitress - who also seemed to hate her job just as much as the chef, but at least without stressing. She brought the sausages, tossed them on our plates so we had to catch them with our hands or they would have rolled off the plates onto our laps. Food was...

I visited here on the 18th with a friend as we were in the area and hungry. This will be the first and last time, the service wasn't great, I found the waiter rude, he had an attitude when making an enquiry about the food, he was generally unfriendly. The standard of the food was bad, opened the sandwich and it literally had a few sprinkles of tuna and one slab of cheese. Missing ingredient in the sandwich although it was confirmed. The cafe wasn't busy so not sure what happened. My friend had chips with her order and they were undercooked and the sauces at the table were watered down and the label had been peeled off but she could taste it was a much cheaper brand, certainly not Heinz. I think they overall used cheap ingredients and don't really fill the sandwiches/panini.

Went to piccolo for late bfast with my other half( we are up at 5am and had bfast at 8am ) the service was shocking. The air-conditioning was blasting cold air when we asked for it to be switched off we’ve been laughed at. Chef also lounged at us for ordering grilled chicken and hummus wrap for breakfast and when the order came out wrong( no hummus or chilly sauce) he said “who eats hummus and chilly for bfast, best you do it yourself” saying he can make us greasy kebab and big bag of chips if we want. Being extremely rude and unprofessional. He obviously charged us for the wrap we’ve ordered even though half of the ingredients were missing.
