PizzaExpress — Restaurant in London

We went to Pizza Express st. George's Harrow a couple of weeks ago. We had booked a place well in advance.The experience we had was beyond terrible!

We waited 15 mins before anyone even came to take our order( they finally came when I went and called someone to take the order). A glass of wine took 20 mins to arrive. after asking twice we were told they had no glasses. After another 30 mins and repeatedly enquiring we got our starter which was nothing complicated ( a plate of dough balls) the mains did not arrive even though multiple times the waitress kept telling us 5 mins each time we asked. (By this time 45 mins had passed and still no mains which consisted of 1 pizza )

We finally went and asked that our order for mains be cancelled! At which point the manager came n kept making excuses as to why the service was so bad and asked us to pack our order and take it home! The nerve! after repeatedly asking finally cancelled the order for mains which had still not arrived.

The place was terribly managed where the manager had totally lost the plot, chef's were coming out of the kitchen to serve customers as they were incredibly short staffed and the wait staff had no clue what they were doing. ( At one point the waitress that was serving us just stood in the middle of the restaurant confused and overwhelmed not knowing where to go next)

We were hungry at this point and walked out after paying for what we had consumed till then and had to go and get food elsewhere. 1 Hr of my life I will never get back! Friday date night totally ruined!

Pizza Express Harrow never fails to disappoint in terms of its total lack of service. We had to wait approximately 10mins to be seated. We were ignored several times whilst standing at the front. Once seated, it took about 15mins for someone to come to our table to take our order and another 20mins or so to have the food served. It was just delay after delay, including waiting to have to pay our bill. In the end, we put our coats on and got up and then a waiter scuttled over to take payment. An alarm was going off (presumably from an oven timer) the whole 1hr15 we were there, which was incredibly annoying after a while. There wasn't a hope in hell of summoning someone to turn it off as they were always otherwise engaged and avoided eye contact when doing other tasks. Food is average at best. The core menu never changes and is just boring now. There is no delight to the palate, surprise or joy in eating the food. The whole concept really needs a revamp, including the decor, dining experience and menu. The few staff there are so rushed off their feet with deliveries, they cannot pay any mind to the customers actually in the restaurant and this has to change if they are to keep the footfall in the restaurants themselves. They need more staff! I definitely won't be going again...

Terrible Experience at Pizza Express Harrow Vue - Awful Waiting Time!

I recently visited Pizza Express at Harrow Vue, and I must say, it was an absolute disaster. I’ve been to many Pizza Express locations before, but this one took the cake for the longest and most frustrating wait ever.

We arrived on 6:40pm and allocated a table. But it took so much time for someone to come ask for an order. Fine, we thought, no problem. However, we got out starters but we waited and waited for a pizza to come, that 20 minutes turned into 45, then over an hour! The staff seemed completely disorganised and made no effort to update us or apologise for the ridiculous delay. Many people came after us and got their order served before us and they left with paying their bills, but here we kept on waiting. When approached one of the staff she replied saying I need to double check, when we stood up they pretend to say pizza was burned but it cant take you to make another pizza for 45 min of you burned the first one.

There was no acknowledgment of the delay or any attempt to make things right. It's clear that this location is seriously understaffed and poorly managed. I won’t be returning, and I’d advise others to avoid this restaurant if they don’t want to waste their...
