I placed a mobile order - which should relatively be quicker than placing an order at the till. I am not joking when I say I waited 20 minutes for the whole process. The queue was long, half way to the door (because the till was locked and the manager was nowhere to be found!!). I placed the mobile order for an iced caramel macchiato, the drink I waited so long for. Two other customers that ordered at the till (after I placed the order), after the manager showed up and the till was unlocked, got their beverages before me (although Starbucks promotes the app for being a faster way of getting your drink). In the end, the manager (Taylor), came in the bar, started my drink and when she offered me the drink, told me ‘sorry, we dont have caramel drizzle anymore, i hope thats okay’ to which I said is fine. Now.. I understood they were out of that.. but I asked for extra syrup and got less than the regular instead! I am sorry but the new management is rubbish… poor baristas seem lost, considering that the manager goes AWOL every 10 minutes. P.S. - I worked in Starbucks for 3 years as a supervisor, I would have lost my sanity with that manager. P.S. 2 above-buttocks mini-skirts and ripped tights..? Read moreI’ve been to this Starbucks and now refuse to go there because of the service and lack of attention to the orders. The staff are laughing and chatting with each other but do not maintain professionalism. I remember a couple of months back when I visited a random person asked if it was worth getting a job there and the staff told them no and that it was long and not worth it which is a really poor reflection on Starbucks. The other problem is that because they are laughing and chatting, they aren’t paying attention to orders. I am lactose intolerant and they got my order wrong three times! I had to throw my drink away because I took a sip and realised that they’d given me dairy. This is so dangerous, it’s lucky I only had an intolerance and not an allergy! The manager at this place really needs to retrain staff. I don’t normally write negative reviews but I think this franchise in particular has let me down a few too many times. I have been to this branch 3-4 times within a 6 months period. After the first couple of visits I had a bad impression as the ladies at the till never seem to understand my order and they're also have a rude attitude. I did try another two times thinking it might have just been a bad day but after my last visit when I've been shouted at 'which frappucino do you want as we have three' when I clearly asked for a tall cappuccino I just gave up on having coffee here, no point starting a day with a negative experience. I'd highly recommend to the management to look into the training of staff, there are many resources for educating them on proper customer service, attitude, phrases to use and lots of material is available free online. Or simply consider changing stuff if necessary. I want be coming back though and will not recommend anyone...
