Yum yum!!
Do not go here if you are indecisive...there’s just took much good stuff to choose from!
With every curry and delicious Indian delicacy you can imagine, the counter displays a colourful rainbow array of choices to satisfy any insatiable palette.
With every seat in the house supporting a local Indian customer, it’s clear from the beginning you’ve come to a legitimate Bangladeshi restaurant, if the scents and sights didn’t give it away already...
I ordered a chicken curry, dhal puri and rice. I received upon my table, as well as what I’d ordered, a bottle of water and side salad...which I thought was free...it wasn’t!
A delicious and enjoyable meal, that blew my personal budget, coming in at a whopping £13!
Homeless, it’s not for us!
However, all you curry lovers out there, this is authentic Indian cooking at its best, everything on show, cheap as chips to building dwellers, just missing the ambiance of the classic restaurant facade’s you’ll be used to, but if you can strip away the fake glamour to the genuine hearty food that’s really important, this will be a treat your tummies and taste buds would truly appreciate!
Give it a try... It won’t break the bank. Take away is available...
Read moreThis was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. I was served a breakfast that reeked of rot—it clearly hadn’t been cooked that day, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was two or even three days old. The smell alone was enough to make me feel sick. When I politely asked the waitress about it, instead of explaining or addressing my concern, she simply snatched the plate away and threw it in the bin without saying a word. No apology. No replacement. Just complete disregard. What shocked me even more was their attitude. They had the audacity to tell me they “didn’t charge” me for the spoiled food—as if that was a favor. On top of that, they charged me for tea that they never even served. This place has no respect for basic hygiene, food safety, or customer service. It’s disgraceful that a business operating in a developed country could have such low standards. Both the kitchen and the staff are in dire need of proper training, and honestly, a health inspection wouldn’t be a bad idea either. Avoid Ponchokhana at all costs. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone—not even for...
