I always get wings and chips. I have been visiting this fried chicken shop since 2000. The main reason i go there is because they had the best chilli sauce, they have now changed the recipe which is good but not the way it was before. The chilli sauce was yellow in colour with bit of oil and was the best. Chilli sauce was like curry sauce. Please bring back old chilli sauce recipe. Lots of people have said why change a good recipe for chilli sauce. 100% if you bring back old recipe lots of people will go back to your shop. Whitechapel Fried chicken chilli sauce is still good but please bring back old recipe. Please also bring back french fries 🍟 , why change the chips? Prices have definitely increased. 💰 When something is good never change recipe. Staff members are very polite, keep up with good service 😃

Busy shawarma and fast food shop on the corner of Court Street along Whitechapel Main road. Tasty halal food served well into the night. Ordered no 24, Spicy Lamb Doner and was presented with a messy but flavourful plate of chips and lamb shawarma. Spicy sauce and garlic mayo optional but strongly recommended. Spicy sauce gives a powerful kick. Portions are adequate, chips are crisp and veg are fresh and varied. Service is well-mannered, friendly and professional. The location is clean, well-lit but small. One issue of note is that there are two entrances, both of which often remain ajar, allowing an unwanted draft. You know this restaurant is popular because of how crowded it can get during dinner hour. Pretty decent place when looking for something quick and dirty. I may return to try the fried chicken.

Tried Naga Doner, really amazing. Spice was just right. Chips naga doner and my favourite 7UP, the combo was amazing. They have a range of other items on the manu, the price is little higher, however, i believe the quality of the food is really good. I would have love the portion size a little bit bigger than what i had. I have visited this place second time, last time i tried the wings which really great, i love the fact that they have sauce available on each table. But i would love the Haniz mayonnaise not the cheap one. Service wasn't great, if i am spending even £1 quid i would expect to be treated nicely. U need to up on your service. Overall, it's a great place for a meal under 10 quid however, they need to improve thier service and get the real mayonnaise. 👌😊

Stole money from me. The man said he will have to charge me 30p to use my card to pay because of their fee, ridiculous, but I agreed, but then they overcharged me £1.30 in total, they stole £1 from me! I asked for Salad as I didn't know if they give it with the Donner and Chips/Wings combo, he told me it's already inside the meal, I kid you not, it was a slice of Cucumber, a piece of small Lemon, few bits of red cabbage, that's it. If I knew that's what the Salad would consist of, I'd have offered to pay for extra. I asked for a little bit of Naga and a little bit of Shatkora, I think the guy at the back took offense to that and decided to make it EXTRA hot, couldn't eat more than a few bites, eventhough it tasted nice, such a shame. Chips were decent, wings were good. Naga Sauce was nowhere near as good as other shops in Hamlets, so it was just OK. Overpriced for the amount of food you get given, especially when they're stealing as well! Their phone rings and cuts to voicemail almost immediately as well, I wanted to let my feelings known, but couldn't, obviously. If they want to respond and be negative, I'll be more than happy to visit their shop with Police lol, with my statement, showing the time of transaction and attain a Warrant to confirm my transaction via their payment database and to attain CCTV footage. The consumer is to be provided with the goods and/or services they purchased, whether it's £1 or £100,000, theft is theft in a court of law, regardless of the amount, the penalty differs ofcourse, but I'd love for them to respond to this in any way negative, try it and find out. I would have been back immediately, to make my feelings known, if I lived round the corner, but I live in E4, Chingford. Stealing £1 from one person, but I'm sure this review will cost more than £1 for them now when someone reads this and will decide not to go to their shop and spend there, as well as me spreading the word, silly tactic to steal. I have the same heritage (Bangladeshi) as them, but I wasn't raised to be a thief and definitely not such a dreadful Businessman. Employee or not, basic principle of Business, but they wouldn't know anything about that. Never again. For anyone reading this, I hope (you probably do too) that they respond poorly to this in any way whatsoever and I'll be sure to update this review with what happens next, stay tuned folks. Jay- just a bored guy, with no life whatsoever, looking to shame some...

Place used to be terrible back when I visited in 2015/16 times. So I stopped

In summer of 2022 I saw the redecoration and gave the place a chance again assuming it was under new ownership and things definitely improved. I was eating there regularly and loved the kebabs.

Went a few times again in summer of 2023, they have new staff who are by far some of the laziest people I've seen in a customer service industry.

Food quality has dropped massively and you can tell no effort gets put into making the food. Chunks of chicken donner are huge and not cut up properly.

Regular charade of card machine not working. I paid £8.99 for a large mixed donner meal and came back 3 days later. Ordered the same and had to pay in cash. One of the new members of staff said as a large it is £9.50. 5 mins later I saw him open the till and pocket the 50p for himself.

They all have a good laugh at the back and definitely don't care about running the business in a proper fashion.

The cleanliness of the place is non existent and tables are not cleaned properly. Toilet is always out of order so they can avoid any cleaning work and if you eat in they serve it in container boxes with your food all squashed up, another effort to avoid the effort of working.

Needless to say I won't come back as it's too risky with their lack of consistency and I would advise others to...

I ordered for the first time on justreat now. I ordered 6 meals and only 3 meals arrived! Justeat had to refund me £17.48..now you can imagine how much food was missing. I even wrote a note with capital letters saying PLEASE CHECK ORDER BEFORE PACKING SO ITEMS ARE NOT MISSING. Im very sceptical when ordering from a new place cause iv had a few bad experiences with orders missing items, and this place messed up the worst ever! Never had an order where more then half the items were missing...its usually 1 or max 2 items. This is a all time record in messed up orders! I tried calling the restaurant but line was engaged so just got refund via justeat. I shared some of the food from my kids but will need to still have dinner since it wasn't even close to enough 😒 ......... A few days ago I wrote a review giving 1 star because half my order was missing. Today I got a email from just eat asking me to call the restaurant. When I did the manager explained how the delivery guy accidentally left behind 1 bag and he called just eat straight away to get my address/contact number so they could deliver it themselves, but justeat wouldn't give it. So today he delivered £30 worth of food to myself FREE. Iv never experiend such excellent service after a mishap. This truly shows how committed they are to their customer service and how much they value us...
