Q Verde is a top quality Italian restaurant. Bit expensive but worth every penny. A warm welcome, and great foods and wines. I started with the burrata with tomato and basil, very nice . Then I had the ravioli with black truffles, which was delicious. I had spinach and garlic , as a side dish , you don't often get such good quality fresh spinach. And I had the tasty mixed vegetables as a side dish. I came back a few days later with a friend and we had a great meal with a excellent bottle of white Italian wine ( which was on special sale ). We had the ravioli with black truffles as a starter , which was delicious once again. I enjoyed the seabass. We both had the lemon tart which is to die for. We ended the meal with a small glass of black sambucca , liquorice flavour, which was spot on. Q Verde is my favourite Italian restaurant in London. Great service , outside tables, and in the lovely...
Read moreQ Verde is an old favourite with our kids who live locally. This was my 3rd or 4th visit and we went with our grown up children, (group of 6) for a family dinner. Whilst the service is always exquisite and entertaining from the lovely owner who goes out of his way to be accommodating & generous, a couple of us felt the food quality had slipped. I remember 4-5 years ago that the cuisine was exemplary; now it is just ok. Which made our bill of £350 seem rather in the expensive side. We had starters, mains & some desserts….maybe it’s just that London prices have increased substantially since the Pandemic. My fish portion was tiny and the thick orange sauce tasted somewhat like a packet mix (as did all the pasta sauces to my mind). Q Verde is still enduringly popular and always advisable to book; the kids all loved it…perhaps the chef was just having a bad night. We hope for a better...

The complementary warm bread tasted great, especially with the olive oil and sweet balsamic vinegar.
We ordered the grilled calamari, which was not coated with the usual breadcrumbs. Went down like a treat! The flavours of the herbs really seeped through with the added lemon juice, which brought out more flavour.
For mains, I ordered the Tagliatelle al Gamberoni. As requested, it was lovely and al-dente. Again, great taste and flavour and generous amount of King Prawns. However, the dish was very messy, as the prawns were in their shells, which was a bit of a hassle. I'm not great with pulling out prawns, so would sometimes get shell in my mouth. Would have been great if they were shell-less!
My friend ordered the Tagliatelle del Pescatore, which she loved.
The service was great as well as the overall atmosphere. Loved the soothing...
