The Queen's Head is a decent pub in the Shoreditch area. It lacks the outdoor space available at the nearby Crown and Shuttle but makes up for this through its lively atmosphere and higher likelihood of having a table available. The toilets flushed well here, I could forsee no issues regarding their utility. There was a good range of beers available too, increasing the risk of a trio being required, something which is always worth considering. Crystal palace ground out a 1-0 win in the European conference league play off game whilst I was at this pub. They really should've been let into the Europa League in my opinion, but I didn't care too much about it all really. Pretty convenient pub, good for a quick pint or 3 before getting the train nearby.

Very nice and spacious pub near Shoreditch. Came by for a few pints on a reasonably quiet Saturday. There was a fair amount of seating available and overall the Queen’s Head proved to be a relaxing place to stop by. The service and serving staff were very friendly and welcoming. They have a good selection of beers, making it a great spot for a beer-drinking session, and the interior is nice and warm. However, the food was pretty average. That being said, I only had the whole hog fries, which was nice enough, but nothing special. Certainly would not have any hesitation returning at any point later.

Great pub which is absolutely bustling on weekends, but thankful the kitchen remains open until 10pm with some surprisingly good food! I had the poutine fries which were fantastic (crispy bacon, chunkier bacon pieces, cheese sauce and cool jalepenos). The pulled beef croquettes were also delicious. I’ve sampled all the margaritas (passionfruit and strawberry, and original) as well as the picante spicy mezcal cocktail. All were delicious but the Tommys margarita was fantastic, would recommend.

I recently visited your pub with my partner, and I must say, it was an experience I’ll never forget—though I wish I could. What should have been a relaxing pint turned into one of the most chaotic experiences.

First, we were charged for the same pint three times because of your completely reliable POS system. When I raised the issue, I was assured the transaction would automatically reverse—spoiler alert: it didn’t. No problem, though! I was told I could just pop back in at any time to have it sorted out.

Fast forward to my return visit, where, to my surprise, nothing could be done. Apparently, the staff member I spoke with didn’t have the authorisation to handle the situation. How comforting. I was also informed that your team had received my email days prior and, somehow, thought it would be fine to completely ignore it. Excellent customer service.

Throughout this process, I was met with nothing but lies and incompetence. The staff had no clue what was going on; emails to the head office were conveniently ignored, and I ended up wasting my time chasing down your accounts department myself. Not once did anyone make an effort to contact me proactively. It took over a week to resolve the issue—how efficient.

In conclusion, I would highly recommend avoiding this establishment, and frankly, any business under the Urban Pubs and Bars umbrella. If you’re looking for a lesson in how to provide absolutely zero customer service or professionalism, this is the...

One bad grape

The layout of this bar is wonderfully presented and the prices are fair for the area of London it is set in.

Despite it being a Saturday, they allowed us in with a dog. We perched by the end of the bar.

Staff were great and friendly. The security was polite and friendly and managed difficult people without generating hostility.

Unfortunately, there was one who had to ruin the experience with their rudeness and hostility. In doing so, they received a warranted response and in turn, escalated the situation by calling over security to remove us. Considering we had already agreed to leave, I can only imagine that this move was one to embarrass patrons that he took dislike to. He claimed to be the manager though we struggled to understand why such a personality would be given such a title.

I now can’t recommend this place or take friends there in future. A real shame when 90% was...

We were there to watch England vs Wales. Chilli one lacked any real seasoning, the katsu one contained 2 slices of aubergine and very little sauce which hardly constitutes a £15 price tag. The blue one had 2 hard unmelted blocks of blue cheese that were extremely unpleasant and the mushrooms were cold. Also the wings we ordered had undercooked batter amd due to a dietary condition my friend ordered them plain, we asked for black pepper which wasn’t available. This friend is already experiencing gastrointestinal issues. We payed a £60 deposit to sit behind people who hadn’t which meant we weren’t able to watch the game. All of this deposit went towards subpar food, and a table that had no direct view of the game. The only redeeming factor was the chilli cheese chips. We will not be spending our time and...
