This place was a let down for a few reasons. I ordered the English breakfast that included x2 sunny side up eggs and unfortunately both eggs were still raw. Image provided. Lemon and mint mojito was just 7up poured inside a plastic cup with mint leaves and ice. From a cafe you’d expect this to be made from scratch. Orange juice was just innocent bottled juice, Instead of freshly squeezed orange juice. I requested for small glasses and instead got plastic cups. French toast tasted okay, not sure why it was called red velvet when it had nothing but crumbled pistachio bits and jam around it. Bread seemed like shop brought loaf bread and thick cream shop brought. As a baker myself I’d know the difference. I’d suggest food to be cooked properly and not rushed. And also consider making food from scratch rather than shop brought. Makes your cafe seem synthetic. Less staff, only saw 1 girl running around then another joined her. Confusing back entrance to the rest of the seating, no signage whatsoever. This needs a sign and arrow. Overall, I came as someone else wanted to come but will not come back and this place needs major reviewing.

Let down. Ok food, French toast was well presented - strawberries were missing though. However having waited an hour for our food couldn’t be asked to complain. Forget food even drinks took like 40mins. Whilst service came with a smile the wait times were abysmal. Really wouldn’t recommend it which is a shame as we were so looking forward it. My friend had her 3 yr old daughter with her so ordered her daughters meal as soon as she arrived - a simple chicken strips and chips - after asking numerous times and waiting near an hour and explaining it was for the little one and getting not much of a update my friend literally had to Go the kitchen and it turned out the order had been missed. Shocking. Also didn’t like having to ask for each cutlery set, etc should be common sense to give the same amount as the meals or how long it took for the cutlery to come. Food was also cold by the time served. Honestly what a let down If u do decide to go entrance can be tricky to find. The front door is a small 1 seater you need to go down the alley way and ring the black and white zebra doors doorbell for the seating area.

Visited early February, writing this 8 weeks later as it was such a terrible experience it has to be shared. Arrived for 2pm and asked for a table for 6. Was advised to wait 20 minutes and they’d prep a table for us. 20 mins later we returned and the staff said they’d prep immediately. 40 minutes later the table was prepped, walked to the table and the restaurant was completely empty. We weren’t waiting an hour for a table because it was busy, but rather due to staff laziness. When we sat down, we ordered online as we were advised to, and the food didn’t come. After 40 mins we got up to ask where food was, and was told the order didn’t go through. We were assured to try again, and naively we did. The same happened again - in the end, we were waiting 2 and a half hours. When the food came, it was okay, reasonably priced. Also saw a rat eating out of a bin in the garden area, so won’t be returning.

Been a few times now, very mixed experiences. Don't think I will go as regularly. Good things first - staff are lovely, really cheery, always smiling and happy to help. The English breakfast is good! I'm vegetarian and tried the make your own breakfast and standard veggie. Both were good! My friends have had a traditional breakfast with meat and they all had no complaints. Decor is nice and place is clean.

Areas that could be improved for me are:

I had the scrambled egg with feta, salad and avocado on soughdough. I've had this twice, and twice it's been very disappointing. The first time the scrambled egg was very dry, cold and not fluffy at all... More like a mashed up omlette, the avocado was a bit hard but not too bad.

The second time they had no feta and didn't offer a replacement for the missing ingredient, and both mine and friend's avocado was rock hard, like not ripe at all. I couldn't cut into. I asked to change the meal, by the time I got the attention of the staff, they had a conversation with the manager and came back the scrambled eggs were ice cold. They said they would replace the avocado but wouldn't swap the meal. I didn't argue. They brought out a much softer (but not completely ripe avocado) and we ate it on cold toast and with cold eggs.

They don't offer poached eggs, which is bizarre for a brunch cafe.

They state 'Cash is King' but only take orders via QR menu and card in the back where the majority of the seating is. Which means everytime you want to order an item and pay with cash, you have to walk round the front. They don't want to take your order and just ring you up when you're done.

Unfortunately, the quality of the food and price don't match for me, so I don't think I'll be coming back for more than a coffee... Maybe a full English.

It's got a great location and nice staff, so I hope the food quality improves because it's the type of business I would love to support and make...
