Red Box — Restaurant in London

Nestled between Ealing and South Ealing, Red Box is a charming local café that my friend and I recently visited based on its excellent ratings. True to the reviews, the coffee was impressively rich with a touch of subtle acidity—a profile I personally enjoy.

We visited around 2 PM, and though the café offers a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, we found the selection of cakes and pastries almost entirely gone, which was disappointing. The intimate interior has a rustic charm that invites you to relax, though one aspect detracted from the experience. The friendly barista-owner was, unfortunately, frequently smoking on a chair by the entrance, causing the smell to drift into the café. For non-smokers like us, it was a bit off-putting, but overall, Red Box delivers an authentic local vibe and quality coffee. Work on the same street so I thought I'd try this new coffee shop out. Being a serious coffee abuser i thought i had the perfect spot a stone throw away however the energy as soon as i walked in first time was appalling. No smiles, bad attitude, one word replies to questions in regards to coffee and food, just no care whatsoever. Advertise 10% off Student Discount and refused to give student discount even after showing my Unidays ID. Charming barista, lovely decor. Ozone coffee sources are highly favoured in my book and the matcha latte was actually prepared using a traditional whisk and bowl. As a Japanese person, this was a breath of fresh air!
