Read moreFirst time coming to this branch. Staff were friendly but that’s about it. I normally order Tom Yum with vermicelli noodles at every Rosa’s Thai that I’ve been to. This branch didn’t allow this even after I offered to pay but I won’t blame them for this as it’s not officially on the menu.
Instead, I ordered Pad See Ewe with chicken and just Tom Yum soup with chicken. When it came to drinks, I asked if the Thai iced tea was used with condensed milk but they said it wasn’t. How on earth is this meant to be authentic Thai?
Tom yum came and it was not spicy enough and had too much coconut milk. (I didn’t think Tom yum had coconut milk anyway?). Halfway eating through the Pad See Ewe, I crunched on an egg shell. Less than impressed. At no point did staff ask how the food was nor did they care. I pointed out the egg shell and the server asked what I wanted to do with it. I just asked for the bill, plastic containers and for them to pass on feedback to the chef as I was not after monetary compensation but rather a good meal.
Positive note was that they offer 15% student discount, only Monday - Wednesday.
I was in and out within 15 minutes. I do not recommend this branch at all. Do not come here, there are much...
Read moreA lovely Saturday night visit to a new outlet of our favourite Thai restaurant chain in the UK. This restaurant has a very relaxed community atmosphere. Please book in advance on a weekend, we were lucky to get a table even though we showed up much before our booking. Sunaina and her team ensured we were promptly catered to even though it was a very busy evening for the staff. And they braved the rush hour by greeting everyone with a warm smile. Delivery orders were flying through the door every few minutes. The food was great, the sharing platter is a great way to familiarise yourself with all the appetisers. Huge portions so perhaps you should follow this up with one main to share between two people (again, generous portions). By the time the mains were served, we couldn’t be too bothered to take photos because we were too busy digging in. The green curry has a bit of heat to it, the Pad Thai is an explosion of flavours. They’ve got an excellent selection of bubble teas and cocktails. We were too stuffed to order dessert but the ice creams at a table next to us looked lovely. If you live around, then do pop in for a warm hearty meal, you’ll leave...
