Sarracino Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in London

Making a reservation online is incredibly easy and the restaurant staff are very accommodating. I made a reservation online for a party of 10, and 12 people showed up--yet without complaint the restaurant staff helped make more room for us without question.

Our group celebrated a birthday, and the entire restaurant was happy to sing happy birthday more than once. I brought a cake, and the staff put it in their fridge, used their own candles when presenting the cake, and then cut it themselves (after asking if that is what we would prefer). It was generously kind.

The food was delicious. There was not one person who was unhappy with their order. I had the fillet, and it was one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. I dreamed of my meal that night 🤣

The staff were very hospitable overall. The group needed to split the check, and the staff worked with us to do that, even though it was complicated.

I went to this restaurant with a friend and we ordered one main course coz I had late lunch and wasn't too hungry but defo wanted some wine and good dessert!. The person taking order made a face about it and said twice that we are ordering only one main course. I wanted some starter so asked for bruschetta. they had an option with tuna topping so asked for veggie option which he said they can make without tuna. So I was delighted . The bruschetta arrived n was beautifully presented. One slice of bread with cherry tomatoes basil pesto dressing yum! Food n desert was yummy. Got the bill and bruschetta was charged £11.50/- (this was price of main course with tuna!!) . I asked for breakdown of main course cost coz it was all lumped together. That's when I discovered I had starter of £11.50/! I am not giving 1 star only because we ate the food and the wine was good. We ordered a bottle of Picpoul de Pinot and received a small thick wine glasses. We’ve asked the head waiter/manager if we could have “normal” wine glasses, he said that they have glasses for each type of wine. When I asked what’s the reason for that as I’ve never heard of something similar, his response was that they don’t serve the nice glasses for cheap wine bottles! We were absolutely shocked. The pasta we’ve ordered was the one you buy in a shop and not made in the restaurant which was really disappointing. They put so much passata in each sauce that they all tasted the same. Since we all work in hospitality and know what the real customer service is, needles to say that we were not impressed.
