Pavona Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in London

I am at two minds when I write this review. This is my local and if you asked me a few days ago I would have given it 4-5 stars but my last visit disappointed me. But let’s start with positives. The drinks are very good, a lot of options and cocktails are very nice. Food menu doesn’t have many options but the food is very tasty. Service is usually very good too. Ambience is great and DJ is very good. So now about negative. On my last visit I went with my friend and we ordered a few drinks. We asked for a bill and I just tapped card without looking. Then I looked at receipt and was surprised to see a big number there. I looked at itemised bill and saw that they put more drinks than we had. When I enquired about it they admitted it was a mistake (no apology, just that it is a mistake and that they will refund the difference). The waitress came back with refund amount and I see it is just the drinks they offer to refund but not the service charge on extra amount. Enquired about that too, puzzled look from waitress and she was trying to explain to me that service charge should not be reduced. No, I said, it is 12,5% on total and your total was not correct. I finally got correct refund but it left me with a bad taste in my mouth. They overcharged us with about 20 quid and I got no apology and no offer to remove service charge altogether (I would have left it in but offer would have been nice). Not sure I am...

Unfortunately we found our experience to be pretty underwhelming. It was a quiet evening and we ordered the sharing platter to share - a good selection of items although we had to fight for the prawns seeing as there were only two tiny bits..the chicken skewers were also 'mini' in size. For the price we were expecting a bit more so we also ordered fries to share. Our stale food and dirty plates were left in front of us for 45mins with two waiters passing us regularly. This is something that really put me off and we didn't even want to order dessert after this so we asked for the bill and left. I work in hospitality myself so there's no excuse for such disappointing service, especially when it wasn't at all busy. The decor is really nice hence...

I had the most delightful birthday brunch with my boyfriend and our friends’ dog at this wonderful spot. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy good food. What truly made our experience unforgettable was Naim, our server. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic time!

The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. From the first sip of mimosa to the last bite of our meal, everything was just perfect. It’s not often you find a place that’s so pet-friendly while maintaining such high standards of service and quality.
