I don’t typically write negative reviews however i’ve had multiple bad experiences with rosa’s food.
Once me and my cousin went to rosa’s (she’s a vegetarian) and had found chicken on her plate she was put off her appetite and wanted a refund, the lady at the front offered to replace my cousins meal but my cousin said “only if you can guarantee there’s no chicken on my plate” which is a reasonable request as they just try to take her plate away and quickly replace it but my cousin didn’t want them just to recoil it in the same unwashed dish, cross contamination is a serious problem they have and i will never eat here again.
Before i found out they don’t wash in-between dishes i did realise i had different vegetables on my plate but didn’t think anything of it but now i realised how disgusting it is in reality, if i order a chicken pad thai and i get crabs on my plate or a slice of tofu.. this location specifically isn’t even busy half of the time and the fact that they’re lazy to not follow through with washing up.
The second negative experience i had was after my cousins, i tried to ignore her negative experience as personally i’ve never had one before i get my food and sit down and i feel crunching in my teeth, thinking it was a broken or chipped tooth, i pull out an eggshell from my mouth. i think nothing of it as while i cook sometimes things slip through and are unnoticed i carefully continue eating and find another one, i was shaking because i knew i had to go up to the counter and ask for a refund and i was so very disappointed, what was once my favourite place to eat was completely ruined. i was able to get my refund but the lack of care drove me to never come to...
Read moreDear God! Where do I even start!! The staff there were so uncoordinated and unprofessional even after all that I’d never expected Rosa’s Thai’s food quality to drop so low it’s so disappointing!
So I went there on a date. I ordered the cashew stir fry with veg and tofu. When I received the order there and started eating I saw that there is not a single cashew on the cashew stir fry! So I went to the counter to ask for some cashews she said she’ll get me another dish (she was being nice) I said I don’t want another whole dish as I didn’t wanted to waste food adding some cashews would be fine and as it was their mistake i’d accept a refund. She agreed to give me the refund but as my husband paid for the dish I went back to get his phone to get the refund. When I came back there was another guy he was so rude! He asked me “why are you asking for a refund we can fix it for you bring your dish we’ll add the cashews” I went back again to get my dish and as we were on stratford westfield, we did not sit nearby the rosa’s thai we sat far away. I came back with the dish they added cashews and by the time i went back with my food my date had already finished eating.
Not just it was a horrible experience dealing with that guy! His tone was rude made me go back and forth 3 times!! And when he added the cashews my rice was drenched in soy sauce it was inedible.
Few more things, the plates weren’t clean. It had stains so wasn’t washed properly. And why would a stir fry be so drenched on soy sauce!! It’s not a curry it’s just soy sauce. So salty and inedible!
And no way I could get the refund for the horrible experience, rude behaviour, and...
Read moreI visited Stratford Westfield and decided to try out a new restaurant in the food court. I ordered the skinny noodles with vegetables and tofu. The service was quick, and the staff were friendly, which made for a good first impression.
When my food arrived, it smelled great, and the portion was generous. However, I noticed that the tofu was missing from my dish. My friends suggested that I go back to the restaurant to ask about the missing tofu, but since my table in the food court was a bit far away, I didn’t feel like making the trip. Maybe they would have fixed it, but I was disappointed that it wasn’t included in the first place. The noodles were also a bit undercooked for my preference, and the broad beans were crunchier than I would have liked. That said, the sauce was delicious, and I could see myself coming back just for that. I think adding something like crispy fried onions, sesame seeds, or extra tofu would have elevated the dish.
They also offered free tap water, which was a nice touch. Unfortunately, they were out of Thai milk tea, which was a little disappointing. It might have just been due to the time of day (Sunday around 4 PM and the food court close around 6pm).
Overall, it was a good experience. The service was excellent (5/5), and the food was enjoyable (3.5–4/5). I’d definitely come back to try something else...
