Where do we begin...Starting with a cold welcome as we had to ask if they were actually closing when we entered as the waiter looked at the clock and seemed like we were arriving at an inconvenient time but then continued to seat us. We won't waste time mentioning the poor service as it's the food that was so very disappointing after reading some of the positive reviews our verdict was that this restaurant is the worst we have been to and will never forget it for that reason. The red wine was the only good thing about it on the palate but should have been for the price. The decor seems nice which is why we decided to enter the restaurant in the first place. We ordered a selection of dishes as we wanted to try the authentic food that apparently this restaurant offers, but every dish was bland and dry and presented poorly. We ate the food purely out of hunger as it was 2:45PM and we hadn't eaten breakfast, but we were in hope that the pasta for our main course would be more edible as we just about managed to eat the starter dishes which were small in portion size and tasteless but again the pasta was the worse pasta dish we have had the opportunity to experience. Al dente is firm and there's a difference to not cooked through as the pasta was basically not cooked and should have been for an Italian restaurant in Hampstead. Not only was it not cooked thoroughly to be served but the flavour was just salt. Not even undertones of any various herbs or cheese or cream or anything apart from salt which for their special of the day at £20 we couldn't understand why everyone single dish was so bad to the taste. We do eat out as a family regularly in London and outside of London and we rarely write a bad review but on this occasion we just couldn't leave it for others to have to experience what we did. The bill came to £90 and we came out and went to eat elsewhere instead as we were still so hungry. For those that have had a good meal here maybe the chef is off work on Sundays and we had the waiter cook our meals instead without us knowing as no decent and trained chef would serve what we were served today and expect the customers to eat it and be happy and return. When we told the waiter that we didn't enjoy our meals today he didn't seem to care or even try to amend the issue and just let us pay and leave with no conversation or questions asked. We were just ignored and we then left the restaurant. With all the other restaurants in Hampstead we will be visiting all of the other restaurants and take a swift detour if we stumble across this authentic Italian...
Read more🌟 My dining experience at ROSSODISERA - Il Marchigiano was an absolute delight! 🍽️ From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the authentic flavours of Le Marche. 😋 The menu boasts a tantalizing array of specialties, with new additions every week to keep things exciting. 🎉 For starters, I indulged in sharing boards of Salumi and Cheese, perfectly complemented by bread with spectacular extra virgin olive oil. And let's not forget the Deep Fried Pork and Chicken Filled Olives and the Deep Fried Custard Cream, unique and decadent treats that left me craving more. 🧀🥓 Parmigiana made with aubergine and swordfish was a true highlight, alongside the Galantina with Pistachios and the special Crescia Sfogliata, a flaky and addictive flatbread that stole the show. 🍆🐟 For the pièce de résistance, I savored the Vincisgrassi, a traditional dish bursting with flavour from the chicken gizzard and goose ragù. And let's not forget about the grilled Lamb cutlets and the hearty Baccala’ stew, each bite a symphony of taste and texture. 🍗🍲 To round off this culinary journey, the desserts were simply divine. From the Cheesecake infused with Anise Alcohol to the Millefoglie topped with Chantilly Cream and Poached Berries, every spoonful was pure bliss. And dipping homemade biscuits in the traditional fortified Wine "Vino Cotto" was the perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable meal. 🍰🍷 Paired with curated wines, beers and craft spirits, this dining experience is simply unmissable. 🍷🍺 ROSSODISERA - Il Marchigiano truly captures the essence of Le Marche's culinary heritage, leaving me eager to return for another mouthwatering...
Read moreWe have been many years ago to Rossodisera in Covent Garden, and the quality of the food was really good likewise the hospitality and the professionalism of the waiting staff. We booked tonight but in a different venue, Hampested Heat. We booked at 20:30, but we were a bit late due to some delays on the tube. By mistake, we didn't call the restaurant to inform them about our 10 minutes delay, because we were sure that the kitchen was open at least until 9 pm due to the online closing time it's 11 pm. Anyway we went to the venue and I apologize for the delay, but the waiter told me that because I didn't call them they decided to close the kitchen without calling us to see if we were coming or not, this is not professional. At least they could call us. I do work in hospitality, and even in small or big restaurants, we call the customers when they are 10 minutes late, before changing the...
