SALT is my favourite bar in the Royal Arsenal, and there are quite a few of them in the area. It’s not the cheapest place to go, but you will enjoy a wide selection of beers, including Salt’s own selection and a frequently changing rotation of guest beers, all of which a re unique and very tasty indeed (they will let you try before you buy, obviously). The food menu is pizza-based with snacky stuff and lots of choice. Although they fall slightly short of other stonebaked options available in town, the pizzas are really, really good for a pub; I personally recommend the Carne or the N’duja. All the food is delicious; I have tried most of the menu and have never been disappointed. The downstairs bar is quite small with very limited seating, and gets very busy in the evenings. There is a larger upstairs seating area (accessible only by stairs) where you can usually grab a table, and in the summer, there is an extensive terrace that is a glorious sun trap. Be aware that you cannot book unless it’s for larger events. There is also a toilet on site. A fantastic local craft beer bar and pizza restaurant; in short, it’s got everything you need, friendly staff and a wonderful location, both for residents of the Arsenal and for visitors to the area, being only a few minutes’ walk from Woolwich Station (Elizabeth Line), ten minutes from the DLR and train station, and very close to the bus stops on Plumstead Road (A206).

Tucked in a corner of Royal Arsenal Riverside is the Taproom. A small but cozy place with a nice selection of craft beers and Pizzas. If you are going with a group definitely book a table before heading there. I've tasted a couple of the pizzas here now and can safely say they are delicious! There are 2 floors, on the ground floor there are a couple of small tables and seating options, then up the spiral staircase there are larger tables more suited to bigger groups and a few tables suited to couples. A very relaxing vibe all round. The people who frequent this place always seem friendly and the staff are very hard working and I'm always greeted with a smile. There is a small outside seating area also. The entrance to the new crossrail will be right next to the Taproom so it's perfectly placed for when that opens. All in all I like this place due to the relaxing vibes, pizzas and Beers, and its easy to get to with the train station, bus stop, DLR all close by.

Nice modern bar in the heart of the redeveloped Woolwich dockyards. Part of the old historic buildings rather than a new build. Pizza is excellent and fantastic value for money. We has a margarita, calezone and pepperoni. The calezone is huge and very tasty with good strong goats cheese blending perfectly with the soft sourdough. The sharing bowl of chips are dissapontingly thin french fry style rather than real British chippy style chips despite the menu claims to the contrary. They are tasty but too many hard fried bits left over at the end. Tried some of the Hop stuff cloudy IPA. Not a fan. It's a bit heavy and cloying. Regarding the menu, it's grey print on brown paper. The lighting inside is muted. Bring a phone with a good torch to read!

A never come back place.. Team was not friendly, engaging, assuming we knew everything about the menu. Worst thing is that we ordered food and it started to rain and none of the staff tried to help us as we really didn't know where to put our plates, maybe they were expecting us to eat standing like horses. We felt really unwanted and while some of the outside guests where going upstairs, we were denied even for 15 minutes, just time to quickly eat our diner. The only solution came from us when we asked for take away as no one cared about us and cherry on the top we paid for eating in and ending up eating cold food very poor as we could count the slices of mushrooms (one for each slice of pizza) . Would had been nice if we heard at the least a thank you or a sorry in the whole situation, but we really felt like we were a problem for them. As a business with some kind of rates, we were expecting a minimum of customer service or some empathy or anything that could had made up to us, management is there for a reason. Obviously we are just a small number but definetly we'll never come back in such a place where customers are unwanted and so...

i've been here a few times. This one time, I was really drunk and desperately needed something to eat, so I popped in for a pizza. When the pizza arrived, to my horror I noticed that the olives were positioned in a way that slightly resembled a pentagram. As you can imagine, this scared me half to death! In a state of panic, i desperately prayed to the gods to save me from this evil. I prayed to Allah, Buddah, Jesus, Jewish god, & Tom Cruise. I prayed to them all. Upon reopening my eyes, i looked down and to my relief the evil formation which had manifested itself on top of my Pizza Putnesca was no longer present. I was mystified! What had happened? Is it possible that I somehow managed to get myself involved in some sort of spiritual battle between the divine and the unholy? Or was I THAT hammered, and was just seeing things? Who knows, it shall remain one of life's great mysteries. (Realistically, it was peobably the latter though)

Oh yeah, the Pizza...
