Seashore Fish Kitchen — Restaurant in London

Jan 2018 Name of this place is “PISCES FISH KITCHEN” on their menu but on the outside sign is still Seashore Fish Kitchen very odd. Far too expensive, staff arguing amongst themselves while serving customers, very poor greetings and customer service towards new and regular customers like us...we use to go and get a cod and chips takeaway once a week, but no more as they are very pricy and the treatment you receive is far from satisfactory...shame because the quality of food is not bad compared to other fish&chips restaurants and the chips are the proper big chunky cut chips! very good when drained properly!

The interior had a make over not long ago and now the kitchen is completely open...very bad idea if you don’t have proper suction units to get rid of the smoke caused by the fryers... In fact you come out smelling of fry food after 5minutes spent in there...awful!!!

Also they use to have a 50% off offer if you purchased your fish at lunchtime, but that was before the refurb, now there is not difference and prices have increased a bit too much for us... 2 cod and chips takeaway almost £18.

I am leaving 2 stars because the last few times wr found black hair on the food and twice the fish had bons in it (I fear price had increased and quality has lowered) alsi becau they are closed on a Sundays, and on Saturdays at 10pm it's already shat... because of the smell of fried food left on your clothes when you come out of that place, for the staff rudeness, and because of the manager not being the most friendly person and not good either to acknowledge regulars... sometimes even a simple smile would do...or an “Hi sir, nice to see you again”... When we enter the place we always say to him things like “Hi there how are you” or “Hi there nice to see you, how are you doing today?” and he doesn’t even respond...very sad...and fundamentally “not good manners” for a manager/owner...

Having loved this fish shop since moving to Surbiton unfortunately one employee has ruined it for us. It was clear that my partner had unfortunately got food poisoning from the scampi she had on Friday night from the shop. The bank holiday weekend was ruined but nevertheless on Tuesday after work I popped my head in to explain to them what had happened, I stated that it’s not a problem and these things happen and that we would continue to come down and buy from them - I was just letting them know that perhaps they should let their external supplier know. However, the one employee that stood behind the till was so rude, obnoxious and flat out denied the fact that the food poisoning came from their shop stating that it was “impossible” and interrupting me just shaking his head saying it was impossible over and over again.

Complete disregard for my partner, complete disregard to the fact we have been eating here for god knows how long (the other employees knew me as we eat there at least once a fortnight), complete disregard for the fact our entire bank holiday weekend my partner was in bed vomiting, complete disregard for their external suppliers and above all complete disregard for the wellness of my partner.

Given that it was the hottest bank holiday on record this weekend, perhaps, just perhaps a bit of your scampi was left out for a little too long.. perhaps in the hundreds of customers you have just for once there was something wrong with one meal.

MESSAGE TO MANAGEMENT: when someone very calmly makes you aware that perhaps something wasn’t right in one batch of your frozen food that you buy externally...!! Take it on the chin rather than flat out denying it and saying it is impossible.

Won’t be recommending or buying from again. Shame really because the cod is actually pretty good - it’s amazing how important customer service...

I'm taking your shop to court due to the fact you just kept my 15 year old daughter in intrappment and made her feel threatened and uncomfortable because they were staring at sexualize places, then asking if she was OK still with no eye contact keeping a locked stare at her torso and just below. She tried to go towards the front door knowing I was apporching but they wouldn't let her out of sight and demanded her to stay in a blinded CCTV area also just behind the counter by the back kitchen. Both our cards got declined but They didn't want to help the matter we were going to leave our credit cards, my ID,my daughters and I bags which contained a £100 speaker which I just brought my daughter for her birthday but they denied the offer and couldn't let bother of us go and my daughter had no way of getting money only I could. This seems like a vile mechanism too keep young girls alone. Our cards have worked perfectly all day even with the card machine in a shop two doors up. Don't go to this shop its vile and...
