After originally making a review and have received from owner. I felt the need to change the from his response. There was a matter regarding a phone call that was deemed a “bad call” which did concerned us and in our behalf we felt the need to mention. That being said we scored previously unfairly and it’s clear the situation we had was not and is not a normal for the cafe.

So on a more positive note. The cafe is very well decorated and the garden in lovely. The waitress we had was lovely and when we came in to the cafe she was dancing while working it’s so nice to see something who clearly enjoys their work.

Although on this occasion we weren’t blown away by the food we could have voiced this and it could have been fixed and thats on us. Nobody likes to complain especially after we felt we didn’t want to voice our concerns to our waitress as she was so nice as we felt it would be unfair and inappropriate.

Overall after again seeing the owner response and his care in the business. I would recommend coming here and if your not satisfied with what your ordered just ask the team for the changes and it’s clear they’ll be happy to so.

Also our well wishes to the Barista who we hope feels better and well done for his...

Small cafe which does a very nice selection of breakfast and brunch dishes that are well presented and taste great. Coffee is decent, definitely preferable to the standard coffee chains. Staff are very friendly and provide a warm welcome. Despite being very busy when we arrived, service was prompt.

Sep 2024 Been a while since I have been here. Food is still great, service is great but coffee has gone a little downhill it seems. I ordered off menu for a "cup" of coffee vs the other option which is "mug" of coffee. However regardless it came in a larger mug which means the coffee to water proportions are out of synch leading to very weak coffee that tastes like hot water. When questioning the mug vs cup, I was told it is to help staff price the coffee! Feels to me the menu is misleading. I also ordered a decaf but was charged £4.05 for a black americano vs £3.55 stated on the menu. the price for defac was not stated anywhere. Felt it unfair to be charged a price which I was not informed about ahead of ordering and which staff admitted was not stated anywhere. It's a shame as Coffee Bay (brand served) is good, but difficult to actually taste the coffee if over diluted with water...

Recently tried here for the first time and it was lovely, the beautiful little garden is the perfect place to take a moment to unwind with a coffee. I ordered a Latte which honestly was the best Latte I have ever had, made by the lovely manager Steve who's customer service is superb and he went above and beyond, including getting a few toys to keep my little ones entertained while I are. All the staff were amazing and the Banaba muffins made by Jo were also superb. I had the chicken sandwich, it was a great size, very filling and each bite was delicious, I especially enjoyed the dressing on the side salad too. I came back a few days later with my niece, she had a hot chocolate and a slice of chocolate cake. Again the food and staff were wonderful and I honestly can't fault this place at all. Watching the staff with other customers too everyone has excellent customer service especially the manager Steve who greeted everyone and checked on all customers regularly with a smile the whole time. A really wonderful place, I...

Have eaten here so many times in the past, and love it. But really annoyed this tim. A £28 order that was 4 things, a smoothie, milkshake, bacon sandwich and a slice of cake nearly 30 quid. The smoothie wasn't blended properly and had no taste, it was frozen in the middle with frozen pieces of banna and fruit at the bottom of the cup. The milkshake was water like in consistency. Defiantly cannot have been made with ice cream like advertised. The bacon sandwich was nice but shame the Egg was smashed and the sausage wasn't the best either. The peice of cake was most probably the best thing and only cost 4 quid. Save yourself some money and DO Not order a take away on deliveroo as you cannot speak to the resteraunt and complain about your order. I tried calling them to explain about my order but no one answered

They serve delicious breakfast and staff is very friendly too. There are nice tables at the front if you lucky to be offered. My only negative feedback from our visit was our table location. We were sitting in the tiny coridor. There were a lot of people passing us every time when they visiting the toilet or staff entering and leaving the kitchen. I would recommend to consider different table layout of this place. I wouldn't sit there again. The walls at the back had a few pictures for sale and on the ceiling you could see gaint spider web. I know Making money, is the key in catering but I wouldn't let my customers to sit in that tiny coridor when my hard working staff try to squeeze with the dirty plates. But as I mentioned you have delicious food and lovely staff.
